Day 01 Dellhi
On arrival, your Kamalan representative will pick you up, accompany you to your hotel and help you check in. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 02 Delhi - Jodhpur
This morning, you will have breakfast at your hotel and head to the airport to board your flight to Jodhpur. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.
After lunch in the city, you will visit the Mehrangarh Fort. This spectacular fort made from red sandstone, stands on a perpendicular cliff above the skyline of Jodhpur. The foundations of this fort were laid in 1459. Today it houses a museum with a fine collection of arms, costumes, paintings and even a collection of palanquins.
Next you will visit the Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The intricately carved façade, domes and pillars make this a site to behold. You will have the evening at leisure to relax before turning in for the night.
Day 03 Jodhpur – Mt. Abu ( 264 Kms - 6 Hrs )
This morning, you will have breakfast and leave for Mount Abu. Mount Abu is a hill station at the highest point of the Aravalli Hills. On arrival, you will check in to our hotel.
Afterwards, you will visit the Jain Dilwara Temples. These beautiful marble temples were built between the 11th and 13th centuries. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 04 Mt. Abu – Ranakpur - Udaipur ( 300 Kms - 5 Hrs )
This morning, you will have breakfast, and head to Udaipur. This city is famous for its lakes and also for its many palaces from the Rajput era. En route you will visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. In the evening, you will have some free time to explore the local bazaar before returning to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 05 Udaipur
This morning, you will have breakfast, and to Udaipur. This city is famous for its lakes and also for its many palaces from the Rajput era.
Here you will visit the City Palace. This architectural marvel blends Medieval, European and Chinese architecture replete with domes, towers and arches. After lunch in the city, you will visit Sahelion ki Bari. Legend has it that this picturesque garden was built for the queen and her ladies in waiting. The lush greenery is a treat in the deserts of Rajasthan.
In the evening, you will enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Picchola where locals and visitors alike come to relax. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 06 Udaipur – Dungarpur ( 120 Kms - 3 Hrs )
This morning, you will have breakfast and leave for Dangarpur, the southern most part of Rajasthan. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.
After lunch, you will explore the Palace at Dungarpur, built on the banks of the lake. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 07 Dungarpur – Balaram ( 200 Kms - 4 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave from Balaram. Situated in scenic forests, Balaram is an important pilgrimage spot for Hindus. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.
After lunch, you will have some free time to relax before turning in for the night.
Day 08 Balaram - Modera – Patan - Dasada ( 300 Kms - 6 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave for Dasada, located on the edge of the little Rann of Kutch. En route, you will visit Patan and Modera. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.
In the evening, you drive to the Little Rann of Kutch and perhaps spot the famous wild ass and migratory birds from the nearby marshlands. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 09 Dasada – Ahmedabad ( 126 Kms - 4 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will visit the Akshardham temple in Gandhi Nagar. This temple is one of the largest temple complexes in the state of Gujarat. Named after Mahatma Gandhi, Gandhi Nagar is the capital of Gujarat. You will have lunch here.
In the evening, you will visit the Siddhi Sayed Masjid. This mosque is renowned for its exquisite stone carvings that transforms into exquisite filigree.
You will also visit the Hathi Singh Jain Temple. This intricate white marble structure draws thousands of visitors annually. Next you will visit the Sabarmati Ashram. One of the residences of Mahatma Gandhi, the Ashram now has a museum in his memory. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 10 Ahmedabad – Lothal - Bhavnagar ( 170 Kms - 4 Hrs )
This morning, you will head to Bhavnagar and have lunch en route. This relatively young city is an important trading post for cotton products. A visit here offers visitors a chance to see many shades of traditional Gujarati culture.
En route, you will visit Lothal. This is an important archeological site in India, with excavations revealing ruins belonging to the Harappan Era in the 2nd millennium BC. You will see some of the artifacts from this period at the Archaeological Museum here.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. Afterwards, you will visit Gaurishankar Lake. This vast lake is surrounded by a mini forest and hosts a wide variety of plants and animals.
You will visit the Takteshwar Temple, a popular landmark situated on a hillock with wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. You will also visit the Lock Gate. A popular tourist spot situated near the docks, the Lock Gate helps ships from stay afloat when the tide is low. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 11 Bhavnagar - Mumbai
This morning, you will have breakfast and board your flight to Mumbai. Here you will have lunch in the city and visit the Gateway of India. This monument, located on the waterfront in South Mumbai, was erected to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The monument was completed in 1924. The monument was meant to be the first sight for all visitors coming to Bombay by boat. You will also visit Chowpatty beach, a popular attraction for locals and tourists alike. People of all ages come here seeking fun and relaxation. It is dotted with kiosks and stalls of local street food.
The Prince of Wales Museum was founded in 1922 by prominent citizens of Mumbai. Divided primarily into 3 sections – art, archaeology and natural history, it houses more than 50,000 artifacts.
You will return to your hotel and after dinner, you will head to the airport to board your flight home.
EXTENSION NASHIK
Day 12 Mumbai – Nashik ( 185 Kms - 5 Hrs )
This morning, you will leave for Nashik after breakfast. You will have lunch and in the evening visit Ramkund. Ramkund is an important spot for pilgrims as it is believed that Lord Ram bathed here while in exile.
It is a lively place with markets nearby. You will also have the opportunity to visit some temples in Nashik. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 13 Nashik
After breakfast, you will visit the Sula Vineyards. Rajeev Samant started this young vineyard in the late 90’s, after quitting his job in the Silicon Valley. Since then, Sula wines have grown in popularity and considered to be India’s finest wines. The vienyards now cover approximately 1500 acres of plantations.
You will have the day to tour the vineyards and visit the picturesque Tasting Rooms at the vineyard that has panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The vineyards also have a beautifully landscaped amphitheatre that hosts a variety of events. The vineyard also has a charming restaurant ‘Little Italy’ that’s offers visitors a unique dining experience.
You will have the evening at leisure and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 14 Nashik – Mumbai ( 185 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will catch a train back to Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai, you will have lunch and have some time to explore the city on your own.
You will have the opportunity to wash and change before heading to the airport to board your flight home.
EXTENSION GOA
Day 12 Mumbai - Goa
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa.
Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.
On arrival, you will check in to the hotel and have lunch. Later, you will head to explore the Goan churches and cathedrals. You will start with a visit to the Se Cathedral. Consecrated in 1640, the cathedral is dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria.
Next you visit the Church of St Francis Xavier. Goans are deeply devoted to St Francis Xavier, and though the church has only one altar, this church offers visitors simple sanctity.
St. Catherine’s Church stands out as a pale yellow structure with distinctly Renaissance features. The Archaeological Survey of India now protects the church.
You will also see the Viceroy’s Arch. The arch was built as a memorial to Vasco De Gama and stands on the jetty of Old Goa. It is said that every Viceroy had to pass through this arch before taking office.
The Miramar beach is a beautiful golden beach with soft sand, and dotted with palm trees. With its captivating views, it is an ideal location for lovely long walks along the shore.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 13 & 14 Goa
For the next two days you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.
Day 15 Goa - Delhi
After breakfast, you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 work shippers.
You will explore old Delhi via rickshaw. Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!
Next you will visit to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where the Mahatma was cremated in 1948. It consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame that burns at one end. A visit to Rajghat is an innately moving experience.
You will also get a chance to see the Presidents House and government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.
You will also visit India Gate, one of the largest war memorials in India. Designed by Edward Lutyens, it commemorates the thousands of soldiers that lost their lives during the First World War. This monument is an important landmark in Delhi, with many important roads leading off the Gate.
Later, you will visit Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture.
You will return to your hotel and spend the night. After dinner in the city, you will head to the airport to board your flight home.
INSERTION AGRA & JAIPUR
Day 02 Delhi - Agra ( 204 Kms - 4 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture. You will check into your hotel.
After lunch, you will visit you will visit Itimad Ud Daulah. This is a mausoleum commissioned by the Mughal Empress Nur jehan for her father. It is believed to be the blue print of the Taj Mahal and is said to resemble a jewel in a marble box. You will also visit the Agra Fort. This is a 16th century Mughal fortress built of red sandstone and comprises of many fairy tale palaces. You will explore the local bazaar before returning to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 03 Agra - Jaipur ( 265 Kms - 6 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will visit the Taj Mahal.
Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel. You will return to your hotel for breakfast.
Afterwards, you will head to Jaipur where you will get to explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730. You will take a rickshaw ride through the local surroundings. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 04 Jaipur
After breakfast, you will visit to the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!
Afterwards, you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past. After lunch you will have some free time to explore the bustling local bazaars before returning to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 05 Jaipur – Jodhpur ( 335 Kms - 6 Hrs )
This morning, you will leave for Jodhpur. En route you will visit Pushkar, one of the oldest cities in the country and famous for its annual cattle fair. After lunch, you will check in to your hotel.
