Day 01 Delhi
On arrival, your Kamalan representative will pick you up, accompany you to your hotel and help you check in. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 02 Delhi
After breakfast, you will start your visit with the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. You may choose to begin your day with a pigeon flying experience.
Next you will visit to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where the Mahatma was cremated in 1948. It consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame that burns at one end. A visit to Rajghat is an innately moving experience. You will also get a chance to see the Presidents House and government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.
You will also visit India Gate, one of the largest war memorials in India. Designed by Edward Lutyens, it commemorates the thousands of soldiers that lost their lives during the First World War. This monument is an important landmark in Delhi, with many important roads leading off the Gate.
Later, you will visit Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture.
You will return to your hotel and spend the night.
Day 03 Delhi - Udaipur
This morning, you will have breakfast, and head to the airport to board your flight to Udaipur. This city is famous for its lakes and also for its many palaces from the Rajput era. Here you will check in to your hotel.
After lunch, you will visit a local bazaar and take enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Picchola where locals and visitors alike come to relax. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 04 Udaipur
After breakfast, you will visit the City Palace. This architectural marvel blends Medieval, European and Chinese architecture replete with domes, towers and arches.
Next you will visit Sahelion ki Bari. Legend has it that this picturesque garden was built for the queen and her ladies in waiting. The lush greenery is a treat in the deserts of Rajasthan. In the evening, you will explore the local bazaar before returning to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 05 Udaipur – Ranakpur - Jodhpur ( 290 Kms - 7 Hrs )
This morning, you will head to Jodhpur after breakfast. En route you will visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple and also have lunch nearby. On arrival in Jodhpur, you will check in to your hotel.
After lunch in the city, you will visit the Mehrangarh Fort. This spectacular fort made from red sandstone, stands on a perpendicular cliff above the skyline of Jodhpur. The foundations of this fort were laid in 1459. Today it houses a museum with a fine collection of arms, costumes, paintings and even a collection of palanquins.
Next you will visit the Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The intricately carved façade, domes and pillars make this a site to behold. You will have the evening at leisure at your hotel before turning in for the night.
Day 06 Jodhpur – Fort Khajrela ( 85 Kms - 1 Hrs 30)
After breakfast, you will head to Khejarla Fort. This beautiful fort that was originally built in 1611, is now a heritage hotel.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. In the evening, you will take a jeep safari through the local area and see the desert wildlife and the local culture and customs in the villages. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 07 Fort Khajrela – Jaipur ( 290 Kms - 6 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave for Jaipur. Also called the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the city of royalty. Filled with palaces and forts, Jaipur is the perfect place for visitors to get a glimpse into Rajasthan and its culture.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. After lunch, you will visit the beautiful Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a popular landmark in Jaipur. Made of pink sand stone, the façade is almost pyramid shaped and adorned with latticework.
Afterwards, you will visit the bustling local bazaars. You will have the rest of the evening at leisure before turning in for the night.
Day 08 Jaipur
After breakfast, you will visit to the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!
Afterwards, you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.
You will have lunch in the city and explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730. Later you will take a rickshaw ride through the local bazaars and return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 09 Jaipur – Agra ( 265 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.
After lunch, you will visit Itimad Ud Daulah. This is a mausoleum commissioned by the Mughal Empress Nur jehan for her father. It is believed to be the blue print of the Taj Mahal and is said to resemble a jewel in a marble box. You will return to your hotel and have the evening at leisure before turning in for the night.
Day 10 Agra – Delhi ( 204 Kms - 5 Hrs )
Early this morning, you will visit the Taj Mahal. Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.
Afterwards, you will leave for Delhi. Here you will have some free time at your hotel to relax. Later, you will head to the airport to board your flight home.
EXTENSION AMRITSAR
Day 11 Delhi - Amritsar
This morning, you will either have breakfast at your hotel or carry a packed breakfast and board your train to Amritsar. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will explore the city of Amritsar. You will begin with a visit to the Golden Temple. This is the most significant temple for the Sikh community. The ‘langar’ or community kitchen serves free meals all year round to roughly 40,000 visitors a day. It is truly a remarkable experience to visit this place of worship.
You will then visit the Wagah Border. The Wagah border is India’s only road crossing border with neighboring Pakistan. It is a ceremonial border, where every evening, the guards from both countries perform the ‘lowering of the flags’. This moving ceremony attracts many tourists on either side of the border.
Next you will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 12 Amritsar - Delhi
After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the Jallianwala Bagh. This small park was the site of a massacre in 1919 spearheaded by a British general. This event caused general unrest and agitations and was one of the precursors to India’s struggle for freedom. Next you will visit the Durgiana temple. Dedicated to the Goddess Durga, this temple is based on the architecture of the Golden Temple. You will then visit Rambagh, the palace and gardens of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The summer palace has now been converted into a museum holding weapons and portraits.
You will also visit Khalsa College, a historic educational institute. Next comes a visit toe the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum. The museum houses old coins, manuscripts, arms and armour.
Afterwards, you will take the train or a flight back to Delhi. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 13 Delhi
After breakfast, you will visit the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, the most prominent Sikh Temple in Delhi. It has a brilliant golden dome that makes the structure instantly recognizable. Built in 1783, the temple attracts millions of visitors annually. You will then visit the National Museum, which houses artifacts dating back 5000 years. Afterwards, you will visit the Birla temple or Laxminarayan Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu trinity.
After lunch in the city you will have some time to explore the city on your own.
Later you will return to your hotel. Your Kamalan representative will accompany you to the airport to help you check in so you can board your flight home.
EXTENSION ANAND:
Day 11 Delhi - Haridwar - Ananda OR Delhi - Dehradun – Ananda
Today you will either travel by train to Haridwar or by flight to Dehradun to make your way to Ananda in the Himalayas. This beautiful spa hotel is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Peaceful and tranquil, this is the perfect location to relax, detox and unwind. The spa hotel offers yoga, meditation and ayurvedic remedies for your mind and body.
After checking in, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing at the hotel.
Day 12 & 13 Ananda
You will spend the next two days trying the various wellness regimes on offer at the hotel. Traditional yoga, and Ayurveda can be combined with the finest international wellness experiences to rejuvenate you mind, body and spirit.
Day 14 Ananda - Haridwar - Delhi OR Ananda - Dehradun - Delhi
After breakfast, you will either board the train to Delhi from Haridwar or leave for Dehradun to catch your flight back to Delhi. After checking into your hotel, you will have some free time before you turn in for the night.
Day 15 Delhi

EXTENSION SHIMLA
Day 11 Delhi - Shimla
After breakfast at the hotel, you will fly to Shimla, located in the northwest Himalayas. The British, who made Shimla their summer capital, dubbed it ‘Queen of the Hills’.
On arrival, you will check in to you hotel where you will have some time to relax. Your hotel, situated at 8250 feet, will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. You may also enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi and heated pool. You can take plenty of walks in the trails nearby that allow you to enjoy the fragrant pine forests.
You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 12 Shimla
After breakfast, you explore the hill station of Shimla.
You will visit Christ Church, the second oldest church in the country with beautiful stained glass windows.
Next you will visit the nearby Jakhu Hill. Situated at 8,000 feet, this peak allows beautiful views of the town and the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located at the top of the hill and is also home to hundreds of monkeys all eager to be fed!
Kufri, located 13 kms away from Shimla has a small Himayalan Zoo as and has a popular ski track.
After lunch, you can take a walk along the Mall Road, which is the main shopping street with plenty of shops, restaurant and bars. People usually take their time strolling down Mall Road, stopping to chat and meet up with their friends.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 13 Shimla - Delhi
After breakfast, you will catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport.

EXTENSION GOA
Day 11 Delhi - Goa
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa.
Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.
On arrival, you will check in to the hotel and have lunch. Later, you will head to explore the Goan churches and cathedrals. You will start with a visit to the Se Cathedral. Consecrated in 1640, the cathedral is dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria.
Next you visit the Church of St Francis Xavier. Goans are deeply devoted to St Francis Xavier, and though the church has only one altar, this church offers visitors simple sanctity.
St. Catherine’s Church stands out as a pale yellow structure with distinctly Renaissance features. The Archaeological Survey of India now protects the church.
You will also see the Viceroy’s Arch. The arch was built as a memorial to Vasco De Gama and stands on the jetty of Old Goa. It is said that every Viceroy had to pass through this arch before taking office.
The Miramar beach is a beautiful golden beach with soft sand, and dotted with palm trees. With its captivating views, it is an ideal location for lovely long walks along the shore.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 12 & 13 Goa
For the next two days you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.
Day 14 Goa - Delhi
After breakfast, you will catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport.

INSERTION KHAJURAHO & VARANASI
Day 10 Agra
This morning, you will have breakfast and visit the the Taj Mahal.

Day 11 Agra - Jhansi - Orcha
This morning, you will have breakfast at your hotel. Then you will head to the railway station and board your train to Jhansi. Once you arrive in Jhansi, you will head to Orcha. Here you will check into your hotel.
In the evening, you will visit the Orcha Temple and Orcha Palace. The Orcha fort complex actually houses three palaces. One of them is called Jehangir Palace in honour of the Emperor Jehangir. The friendship between the Orccha ruler Vir Singh and Jehangir went back a long way before either of them became rulers.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 12 Orcha – Khajuraho ( 170 Kms - 4 Hrs )
This morning, you will have breakfast and leave for Khajuraho. The town of Khajuraho is famous for the legendary Khajuraho temples, which belong to both the Hindu and Jain faiths. The temples were built between the 9th and the 12th century. Though only 20 of the original 85 temples survive, the facades of these temples are a sight to behold. They are replete with erotic sculptures and depictions of dance, music and other creative arts.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. Afterwards, you will visit the Western Temples of Khajuraho. The Western group of temples is entirely Hindu and contains some of the most erotic sculptures found in a place of worship. These temples are considered to be the most evolved temple architecture and represent the Chandela dynasty at its peak.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 13 Khajuraho - Varanasi
After breakfast, you will leave to visit the Eastern temples of Khajuraho, situated close to the village. Few of the Jain temples in the area are still in use. The temples have fine sculptures without sensuous themes. One of the oldest temples in Khajuraho, which is mostly in ruins is also situated here. You will then head to the airport to board your flight to Varanasi.
The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins. It is also considered a holy city for Buddhists, believed to have been designated a pilgrimage site by Gautama Buddha himself. A city of temples, art, literature and education, the atmosphere in Varanasi is completely unique.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel.
In the evening, you will take a boat ride on the River Ganges. Here every evening, a prayer ceremony is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. The sunset ceremony is truly a sight to behold!
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night
Day 14 Varanasi
Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores.
You will return to your hotel and have breakfast. In the afternoon you will head to Sarnath for an excursion. Sarnath is a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists. It is the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha taught his Dharma (faith) and is also an important centre for the arts. You will also visit the Sarnath Museum.
Later you will return to your hotel and have some time to relax before you turn in for the night.
Day 15 Varanasi - Delhi
This morning, you will have breakfast and have some free time to explore the city on your own before heading to the airport to board your flight to Delhi.
