Day 01 Cochin

On arrival you will be met by a representative of Kamalan Travels at the airport who will accompany you to the hotel and will assist with check-in formalities. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 02 Cochin

After breakfast, you will explore the city of Cochin. You will visit Fort Cochin with its wealth of colonial architecture. Then you will see the extraordinary Chinese fishing nets that are a sight to behold. These unusual, elegantly balanced, shore operated fishnets are 10m high and rumored to be of Chinese origin, possibly introduced by Zhang He.

The Jewish synagogue in Cochin was built in 1568 and is of great historical importance. No visit to Cochin is complete without viewing its attractive collections. You will also visit the Mattancherry or Dutch Palace. It was constructed by the Portuguese and gifted to the Raja of Kochi in 1555. It was created in the traditional style of architecture with a courtyard in the centre. It houses some of the finest murals of Hindu temple art.

In the evening you will witness a Kathakali dance show, which involves the stunning use of masks, and make up. Then you will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 03 Cochin - Periyar ( 200 kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to Periyar. The region of Periyar is synonymous with natural beauty and is home to a tiger reserve, abundant wildlife and forests.

En route, you will visit the renowned tea gardens nearby. On arrival, you will check in and have lunch. You have the afternoon free to relax, enjoy an ayurvedic massage or choose to have an elephant ride.

You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 04 Periyar

After breakfast, you will leave to go trekking in the Periyar National Park and appreciate its breathtaking natural beauty.

You will return to your hotel for lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the renowned local spice plantations. Later you will witness Kalaripayttu in a local theatre. Kalaripayttu is perhaps one of the oldest forms of martial arts in existence and includes grappling, wrestling, kicks and weaponry.

You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 05 Periyar – Teekoy ( 100 Kms - 3 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to Teekoy. Here you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

Afterwards, you will visit a rubber and vanilla plantation. You will appreciate the beauty of the plantations and understand the local culture. You will then return to the hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 06 Teekoy

After breakfast, you will leave for a nature walk along breathtaking natural trails.

You will also swim in the natural pools that are created by cascading rivers and mountain streams. You will return to your hotel for lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the nearby Kurishmala Ashram, where Christian monks reside and meditate in a calm serence atmosphere. You will then return to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 07 Teekoy – Alleppey ( House Boat )

After breakfast, you will head to Alleppey and board a house board for a cruise of the backwaters. You will heave lunch, dinner and spend the night on the waters flanked by swaying palm trees.

Day 08 House Boat – Mararikulam ( 12 Kms - 30 Min )

After breakfast on board, you will disembark at Alleppey and head to Marari. Here you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

You will have the rest of the day to explore activities on offer at the hotel such as massage therapies and yoga. You will have dinner and spend the night here.

Day 09 Mararikulam

You will have the day at leisure at the beach. Marari offers a glimpse into traditional fishing villages with vast expanses of pristine beaches. You will return to your hotel for dinner and spend the night.

DAY 10 Mararikulam – Cochin ( 53 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast at the hotel, you have the morning to relax. You will have lunch at your hotel. In the evening, you will head to Cochin to catch your return flight.

EXTENTION LAKSHDWEEP

Day 11 Cochin- Agatti ~ Bangaram

After breakfast, you will be taken to the Cochin airport to catch a connecting flight to Agatti. Here, a representative from the Bangaram Island will help you board your motorboat that will take you to the island. Between July and September, you can reach the island by helicopter as well.

Day 12 to Day 14 Bangaram Island

You can spend the next couple of days exploring the magnificent Bangaram Island, which has pristine silver sand beaches, breathtaking blue lagoons, coral reefs, and coconut palms. You can also engage in a variety of water sports such as snorkeling and scuba diving. Bangaram Island is also an ideal place to enjoy deep sea fishing.

Day 15 Bangaram ~ Agatti - Cochin

Post breakfast you will head back to Agatti by boat to catch your connecting flight to Cochin. After checking into the hotel Cochin you may have lunch. Then you can explore the local bazaar and a walk through the Jewish quarter is a wonderful experience.

You will then return to your hotel for dinner. You can wash and change and prepare for your flight home. Your Kamalan representative will be there to assist you to board you flight.

EXTENTION KUMARAKOM

Day 11 Cochin – Kumarakom ( 55 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will leave for Kumrakom. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. You will then have leisure time to explore the activities on offer at the hotel such as massage therapy and yoga. You will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 12 Kumarakom

You will spend the day relaxing on the beach. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 13 Komarakom – Cochin ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you can spend the morning enjoying the beach. You will have lunch at the hotel. In the evening, you will head to Cochin to catch your return flight.

INSERTION MUNNAR

Day 03 Cochin – Munnar ( 140 Kms - 4 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Munnar. The drive covers beautiful landscapes with vast hillocks carpeted with tea plants.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the renowned local spice plantation and witness Kalaripayttu in a local theatre.
