Day 01 Bangalore

On arrival, you will be met by a representative of Kamalan Travels at the airport who will accompany you to your hotel in Kovalam and help you check in. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 02 Bangalore – Coorg ( 260 Kms - 7 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Coorg. Coorg is considered the Scotland of India, with its breathtaking landscapes, lush forests and acres of plantations. You have lunch en route at a local restaurant.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have evening to relax before turning in for the night.

Day 03 Coorg

After breakfast, you will visit the Dubare elephant camp. Here you will observe elephants and their daily activities. You can also take a ride on one of the elephants here!

You will return to your hotel for lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the local spice plantations. The region is famous for cultivation of spices and visiting the plantations is a memorable experience.

You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 04 Coorg – Mysore ( 130 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 )

After reakfast, you will leave for Mysore. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the zoological gardens. The Chamarajenra Zoological Gardens is the one of the finest zoos, breeding animals in captivity and embarking on a unique recue and rehabilitation centre for animals.

Next will visit the Chamundi Hills. The Chamundi Hills offer a panoramic view of the region and a long stairway of 1511 steps leads to the top of the hill. Though it is an effort to climb to the top, the view is most definitely worth it!

After that you will visit the Mysore Palace. This spectacular building was commissioned in 1897 but was only complete in 1912. Every year it plays host to the annual Maysore Dasara festival.

You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 05 Mysore – Madumalai ( 110 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 )

Early this morning, you will visit a local market before returning to your hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, you will leave for Mudumalai. The Mudumalai sanctuary is a favorite with wildlife enthusiasts. With a wide range of animals and birds, the sanctuary has flat lands, grasslands, swamps and valleys.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel. You will then explore the sanctuary via jeep safari through the beautiful landscape. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

DAY 06 Madumalai

Early this morning, you will leave for a trek in the sanctuary. You will return to your hotel for breakfast, and have the rest of the morning at leisure.

After lunch, you will leave for an evening safari in the forest. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 07 Madumalai – Wayanad ( 110 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will leave for Wayand. Here, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwardsm you will take a jeep ride through the Muthunga wildlife sanctuary. The Muthunga Wildlife sanctuary is home to a variety of species including elephants, sloth bears, jungle cats, bison and many more.

Later you will return to your hotel, have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 08 Wayanad – Guruvayoor ( 210 Kms - 4 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will leave for Guruvayoor. Here you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will leave to visit the elephant yard. This sanctuary houses adult elephants that are trained for the local temple.

Next you will visit the famous Krishna temple, believed to be approximately a thousand years old.

Afterwards, you will visit the Palayur Church. Legend has it that this church was originally established by St Thomas when he first arrived in India. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

DAY 09 Guruvayoor – Alleppey ( 170 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 )

This morning, you will have breakfast and leave for Alleppey to board the houseboat. You will enjoy a cruise on the backwaters and have your meals and spend the night on board.

DAY 10 Alleppey – Cochin ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

You will have breakfast on board the houseboat. You will disembark and head to Cochin to explore Cochin.

You will visit Fort Cochin with its wealth of colonial architecture. Then you cannot miss the extraordinary Chinese fishing nets that are a sight to behold. These unusual, elegantly balanced, shore operated fishnets are 10m high and rumored to be of Chinese origin, possibly introduced by Zhang He.

The Jewish synagogue in Cochin was built in 1568 and is of great historical importance. No visit to Cochin is complete without viewing its attractive collections.

You will have lunch at a local restaurant and will witness a traditional Kathakali dance, which involves the stunning use of masks, and make up.

Then, you will also visit the Mattancherry or Dutch Palace. It was constructed by the Portuguese and gifted to the Raja of Kochi in 1555. It was created in the traditional style of architecture with a courtyard in the centre. It houses some of the finest murals of Hindu temple art.

After dinner, you will head to the airport to board your flight home.

EXTENTION KOMARAKOM
Day 11 Cochin – Komarakom ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will leave for Kumarakom. Here you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy the activities at the resort such as yoga and massage therapy. You will have dinner and spend the night here.

Day 13 Komarakom

This morning, you will have the entire time to spend relaxing at the resort enjoying the various activities on offer or relaxing at the backwater. You will also have time to read and take some photographs of the beautiful landscapes. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 14 Kumarakom – Cochin ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will have the mornind to relaxon the beach. You will return to your hotel for lunch. In the evening, you will drive to Cochin to catch the return flight.

EXTENTION MUNNAR & PERIYAR
Day 11 Cochin - Munnar ( 150 Kms - 4 Hrs )

This morning, after breakfast, you will drive through the beautiful landscapes towards Munnar.

You will arrive and check in to the hotel. After lunch you will visit the tea museum in Munnar. The Tea Museum at Munnar depicts the journey and efforts of the pioneers to helped make this region into a major tea plantation centre.

Tea lovers will be particularly fascinated by the various stages of tea processing. You will also visit a local market and soak up the local flavors.

You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 12 Munnar - Periyar ( 170 Kms - 4-5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will drive to Periyar and visit the lush tea gardens en route. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

In the evening, you will have some leisure time to enjoy a massage or even an elephant ride. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 13 Periyar

After breakfast, you will leave to go trekking in the Periyar National Park and appreciate its breathtaking natural beauty. You will return to your hotel for lunch.

Afterwards, you will visit the renowned local spice plantations. Later you will witness Kalaripayttu in a local theatre. Kalaripayttu is perhaps one of the oldest forms of martial arts in existence and includes grappling, wrestling, kicks and weaponry.

You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 14 Periyar – Cochin ( 210 Kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Cochin. Here you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. You will have some to relax at your hotel. After dinner, you will head to the airport to catch your return flight.

EXTENTION LAKSHDWEEP
Day 10 Cochin - Agatti ~ Bangaram

After breakfast, you will be taken to the Cochin airport to catch a connecting flight to Agatti. Here, a representative from the Bangaram Island will help you board your motorboat that will take you to the island. Between July and September, you can reach the island by helicopter as well.

Day 11 to Day 13 Bangaram Island

You can spend the next couple of days exploring the magnificent Bangaram Island, which has pristine silver sand beaches, breathtaking blue lagoons, coral reefs, and coconut palms. You can also engage in a variety of water sports such as snorkeling and scuba diving. Bangaram Island is also an ideal place to enjoy deep sea fishing.

Day 14 Bangaram ~ Agatti - Cochin

Post breakfast you will head back to Agatti by boat to catch your connecting flight to Cochin. After checking into the hotel Cochin you may have lunch. Then you can explore the local bazaar and a walk through the Jewish quarter is a wonderful experience.

You will then return to your hotel for dinner. You can wash and change to prepare for your flight home. Your Kamalan representative will be there to assist you to board you flight.

EXTENTION MARARIKULAM
DAY 11 Cochin – Mararirikulam ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast you will leave for Marari. Marari offers a glimpse into traditional fishing villages with vast expanses of pristine beaches. Full of local charm, this area makes an idyllic holiday spot.

After lunch at the hotel, you have the afternoon free to enjoy a massage or yoga. You will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

DAY 13 Mararikulam

Today you can spend tranquil day at the beach and enjoy Ayurvedic treatments and massages. Ayurveda is a traditional system popular in the Indian subcontinent. This natural healing system is considered effective in helping ease symptoms for a variety of illnesses as well good for stress relief and relaxation. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

DAY 14 Mararikulam – Cochin ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will have the morning at leisure at the beach. You will return to your hotel for lunch. In the evening, you will drive to Cochin to catch your return flight.
