Day 01 Bangalore

On arrival, you will be met by your Kamalan representative at the airport who will accompany you to the hotel and will assist with check-in formalities. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 02 Bangalore

This morning, you will leave to golf at the Karnataka Golf Association. This is one of the most modern golfing centers in India with a par 72, 9-hole course and a host of other facilities including a gym, swimming pool and even a library.

After a leisurely lunch, you will return to your hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 03 Bangalore – Mysore ( 150 Kms - 3 Hrs )

This morning, you will leave for Mysore after breakfast. Mysore is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka. Famous for its beautiful silks and fragrant sandalwood, Mysore retains its old world charm and celebrates festivals with traditional music and dances.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel. After lunch you will visit the Mysore Palace. This spectacular building was commissioned in 1897 but was only complete in 1912. Every year it plays host to the annual Mysore Dasara festival.

Next you will visit the temple at Somnathpur. This town is famous for the Keshava temple that is believed to have been built in 1268 AD.

You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 04 Mysore

After breakfast you will leave for a round of golf at Sri Jayachamaraja Wodeyar Golf Club. The course was laid out by the Maharaja Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar within the Mysore Race Course. The course overlooks the beautiful Chamundi Hill and was redesigned by Pacific Coast Design, Australia. It is a par 70, 18-hole course.

After lunch at leisure, you will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 05 Mysore – Ooty ( 160 Kms - 5 Hrs )

This morning, you will drive to Ooty after breakfast. Ooty, short for ootacamund, is a popular hill resort in south India. Situated in the striking Nilgiri hills, the weather is pleasant all year round, which is why it always a popular destination with tourists.

You will have lunch en route. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. In the evening, you will leave to visit the Ooty Lake. John Sullivan, the first Collector of Ooty, created this lake artificially in 1823. It is a hub of activity with boating and fishing along with other entertainment nearby.

Next you will visit the Botanical Gardens that were laid out in 1847. Covering over 22 hectares, there are over 650 species of plants and trees. It also houses the fossil of a tree that is believed to be 20 million years old.

You will return to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 06 Ooty

After breakfast, you will leave to play golf at the Golf Play Park at the Gymkhana Club. The course at the Ootacamund Gymkhana Club is one of the finest natural courses in the world and challenges all levels of players.

You will then enjoy a leisurely lunch and return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 07 Ooty – Coimbatore - Chennai

After breakfast this morning, you can either spend some free time at your hotel, or play a round of golf at the Gymkhana Club.

In the afternoon, you will head to the airport to board your flight to Chennai. Chennai is the capital city of the state of Tamil Nadu. The British established the city in the 17th century as a naval base and urban centre. Today it is an important administrative centre and also a hub for the automobile industry.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the night.

Day 08 Chennai

This morning, after breakfast, you will head to the Gymkhana Golf Club. The golf course, affectionately called “Guindy”, has been around for 125 years. It provides 18 challenging holes over 6000 yards.

Or you will play at the Cosmopolitan Club. Founded in 1873, this club is a par 72, 18-hole course that is laden with water hazards, making the game here exciting for all levels of players.

After a leisurely lunch, you will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 09 Chennai

This morning you will have breakfast at your hotel, and thereafter do a brief sightseeing of the city. You will then head to the airport to catch your flight to your next destination or return home.

EXTENSION COCHIN & ALLEPPEY
Day 09 Chennai - Cochin

After breakfast, you will catch your flight to Cochin.

Cochin, or Kochi as it is now known, has always been an important maritime port. It has been a significant spice trading centre and also a place of great natural beauty with the Western Ghats on the east and the Arabian Sea on the west.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel. After lunch, you will visit the Mattancherry or Dutch Palace. It was constructed by the Portuguese and gifted to the Raja of Kochi in 1555. It was created in the traditional style of architecture with a courtyard in the centre. It houses some of the finest murals of Hindu temple art.

Next you will visit the Jewish synagogue. It was built in 1568 and is of great historical importance. No visit to Cochin is complete without viewing its attractive collections.

You will then return to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 10 Cochin - Alleppey - Kumarakom

After breakfast at your hotel, you will drive to Alleppey. Known as the Venice of the East, Alleppey has stunning pal-fringed canals and shores and is the gateway to the backwaters of Kerala.

You will take a cruise through the world famous backwaters and have lunch on board. You will complete your cruise in the evening and check into the Backwaters Resort. Overlooking Lake Vembanad, this resort is spread over 3 acres. The swaying palms, cool breeze and stunning views of the backwaters give the place a truly Keralan ambiance.

You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 11 Kumarakom

This morning, you will have breakfast and have the day free to relax and enjoy yourself at the resort. The setting is idyllic with open spaces dotted with hammocks. The hotel also has a swimming pool and other modern facilities for your relaxation. You will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 12 Kumarakom - Cochin ( 65 Kms - 2 Hrs )

After lunch, you will leave for Cochin. You will have the opportunity to wash and change before heading to the airport. Your Kamalan representative will help you board your flight home.

EXTENSION HAVELOCK:
Day 09 Chennai - Portblair – Havelock

This morning you will leave for the Chennai airport after breakfast, to catch your connecting flight to Port Blair.

Port Blair was originally founded as a penal colony, but today is an important centre for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard. It is also the gateway for the beautiful Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

At the airport, you will be met by a Kamalan representative you will help you board the government ferry at the Port Blair jetty. The ferry will take you to Havelock Island.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the night.

Day 10 & 12 Havelock

For the next 2 days, you can relax on the undisturbed beaches of Havelock.

The beaches of Havelock in the Andaman Islands are some of the world’s best-kept secrets.

Many of the Andaman Islands are still uninhabited and thanks to the efforts of environmentalists, the areas that are open to tourists retain their natural beauty. These beaches, allow visitors reconnect with nature without the interruptions of television, Internet or ringing telephones! It is almost impossible to describe the region in words – suffice it to say, it is a little slice of paradise on earth!

Day 13 Havelock – Portblair

After breakfast you will board the government ferry from Havelock jetty. ( All boat tickets timings and availability are subject to sea and weather conditions, government permits and the Department of Shipping Schedule. The duration is between 2 hrs 30 to 4 hrs 30. Another option is to get to the Port Blair jetty via a privately chartered boat).

On arrival you will head to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 14 Portblair - Chennai

After breakfast, you will drive to the airport to catch your connecting flight to Chennai. On arrival, you will head to your hotel. You will have some free time to relax. After dinner you will head to the airport to catch your flight home.

EXTENSION GOLDEN TRIANGLE
Day 09 Chennai - Delhi

This morning you will have breakfast and then leave to Delhi. The city of Delhi is located on the banks of the river Yamuna. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BCE. Since Mughal times through to most of the British Raj, the city has been the political capital of the country. Today it continues to be the capital of the nation as a bustling metropolitan city that proudly carries images of its glorious past.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 10 Delhi – Agra ( 220 Kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel. After lunch, you will visit the Agra Fort. This is a 16th century Mughal fortress built of red sandstone and comprises of many fairy tale palaces.

You will then soak in the local flavors of the city before returning to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 11 Agra - Jaipur ( 240 Kms - 5 Hrs )

Early this morning you see the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.

You will then return to your hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, you will leave for Jaipur. Also called the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the city of royalty. Filled with palaces and forts, Jaipur is the perfect place for visitors to get a glimpse into Rajasthan and its culture.

En route you will visit Fatehpur Sikri. Built by the emperor Akbar about 35 kms from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is home to many historical buildings. Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters, however, he had to abandon it due to shortage of water. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site.

On arrival in Jaipur, you will check in to your hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 12 Jaipur

After breakfast, you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.

Next you will visit the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!

After lunch, you will get to explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730.

Next you will visit the Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a popular landmark in Jaipur. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Made of pink sand stone, the façade is almost pyramid shaped and adorned with latticework.

Day 13 Jaipur – Delhi ( 240 Kms - 5 Hrs )

Post breakfast, you will leave for Delhi and have lunch en route.

After a free afternoon, you can wash and change before you head to the airport. Your Kamalan representative will help you board your flight home.

Day 07 Coimbatore - Mumbai

After breakfast this morning, you will head to the Coimbatore Airport to catch your flight to Mumbai.

The bustling metropolis of Mumbai (formerly Bombay) was originally a collection of tiny fishing villages. In the mid 18th century, Mumbai emerged as an important trading town. Since then, Mumbai has only grown in importance and today is the financial capital of India.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the night.

Day 08 Mumbai - Goa

This morning you will have breakfast and explore the city of Mumbai. First you will visit the Gateway of India. This monument, located on the waterfront in South Mumbai, was erected to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The monument was completed in 1924. The monument was meant to be the first sight for all visitors coming to Bombay by boat.

Next you will visit Mani Bhavan. This is the oldest Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi. It has been preserved as a Gandhi museum, with a library and memorabilia.

Afterwards, you will visit the Prince of Wales Museum. The Prince of Wales Museum was founded in 1922 by prominent citizens of Mumbai. Divided primarily into 3 sections – art, archaeology and natural history, it houses more than 50,000 artifacts.

Next you will explore Marine Drive. This is boulevard about 3km long along the coast of Mumbai that forms a natural bay. The highlight of the area is the promenade along side where many locals and tourists come to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset.

In the afternoon you will head to the airport to board your flight to Goa.

Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have some free time to relax. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 09 & 10 Goa

Over the next two you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.

Day 11 Goa - Chennai

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Mumbai. After lunch, you will have free time to explore the city. After dinner, you can wash and change before heading to the airport. Your Kamalan representative will help you board your flight home.
