Day 01 Delhi

On arrival, you Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport, accompany you to your hotel. You will then spend the night at your hotel after check-in formalities are completed.

Day 02 Delhi - Udaipur

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Udaipur. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch.

Afterwards, you will visit Sahelion ki Bari. Legend has it that this picturesque garden was built for the queen and her ladies in waiting. The lush greenery is a treat in the deserts of Rajasthan.

In the evening, you will enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Picchola where locals and visitors alike come to relax. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 03 Udaipur

This morning, you will have breakfast and leave to visit Nagda-Eklingi. Nagda and Eklingi are famous for their old Indian temples with interesting architectural features. You will then return to Udaipur and have lunch.

Here you will visit the City Palace. This architectural marvel blends Medieval, European and Chinese architecture replete with domes, towers and arches. Afterwards, you may choose to walk around the city or visit the local bazaar to enjoy the local flavors and customs.

You will then return to your hotel and have dinner. We also recommend having a romantic pontoon dinner on Lake Picchola. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 04 Udaipur- Kumbalgarh ( 82 kms - 2 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will leave for Kumbalgarh. This is the site of a Mewar fortress and also the birthplace of the great Mewar king and warrior Maharana Pratap.

Day 05 Kumbalgarh - Ranakpur - Rohet ( 185 Kms - 04 Hrs 30 )

This morning, you will have breakfast and head to Rohet. On the banks of a lake near Rohet village, lies Rohet Garh, n ancestral home from 1622 AD that is now a luxurious heritage hotel.

On the way to Rohet, you will visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple and also have lunch nearby.

On arrival in Rohet, you will check in to your hotel and have some free time to relax. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 06 Rohet - Jodhpur - Rohet ( 40 Kms - 45 Mins )

After breakfast, you will explore the Bishnoi village by way of a jeep safari. You will see first hand the traditions and culture of the village. You will be welcomed in to local homes and interact with the local communities. It is also fascinating to see artisans at work and witness traditional folk ceremonies.

Afterwards, you will return to your hotel and then leave for Jodhpur. This is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also called the ‘Sun City’.

Here you will visit the Mehrangarh Fort. This spectacular fort made from red sandstone, stands on a perpendicular cliff above the skyline of Jodhpur. The foundations of this fort were laid in 1459. Today it houses a museum with a fine collection of arms, costumes, paintings and even a collection of palanquins.

Next you will visit the Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The intricately carved façade, domes and pillars make this a site to behold.

You will have lunch in the city and later walk through Sadar Bazaar, the bustling local market.

You will return to Rohet Garh to spend the night.

Day 07 Rohet - Nimaj ( 153 Kms - 3 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to Nimaj. This is a heritage property, an erstwhile palace that is now a hotel. The architecture of the property instantly evokes grandeur and images royalty.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. In the evening, you will head to nearby lake. Here, you will enjoy watching the birds and the shimmering water. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 08 Nimaj – Jaipur ( 191 Kms - 4 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Jaipur. Also called the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the city of royalty. Filled with palaces and forts, Jaipur is the perfect place for visitors to get a glimpse into Rajasthan and its culture. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.

After lunch, you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.

You will then get to explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 09 Jaipur

After breakfast, you will explore the ‘Pink city’. You will begin with a visit the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!

You will also have the chance to take some photographs of the Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a popular landmark in Jaipur. Made of pink sand stone, the façade is almost pyramid shaped and adorned with latticework. After lunch in the city, you can take a rickshaw ride through the local bazaars before returning to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 10 Jaipur – Samode ( 40 Kms - 1 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Samode Palace. The exquisite Samode Palace has been beautifully restored and is now one the best heritage hotels in the country.

En route, you will visit the Galta Temple. This unique temple is dedicated to the Sun God and is considered a holy pilgrimage site.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards you can take a walk to the local village or enjoy a jeep safari and appreciate the local desert landscape.

You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 11 Samode – Agra ( 280 Kms - 6 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture.

En route to Agra, you will visit Fatehpur Sikri followed by lunch. Built by the emperor Akbar about 35 kms from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is home to many historical buildings. Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters, however, he had to abandon it due to shortage of water. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and spend the night here.

Day 12 Agra- Delhi ( 204 Kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will visit the Taj Mahal.

Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.

You will also visit the Agra Fort. This is a 16th century Mughal fortress built of red sandstone and comprises of many fairy tale palaces.

After lunch in Agra, you will head to Delhi. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel, have some time to relax and spend the night.

Day 13 Delhi

After breakfast, you will leave to explore the city of Delhi.You may choose to begin your day with an early morning pigeon flying session.

First you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.

You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!

You will also get a chance to see the government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.

You will also explore India Gate, one of the largest war memorials in India. Designed by Edward Lutyens, it commemorates the thousands of soldiers that lost their lives during the First World War. This monument is an important landmark in Delhi, with many important roads leading off the Gate. In the evenings, India Gate is lit up and you will find many families enjoying their free time near by.

Next you will visit the Qutab Minar. This is the tallest brick minaret in the world, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. His successors continued to enhance the structure, with the final storey added in 1386.

The next stop is Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture.

You will then return to your hotel. Your Kamalan representative will meet you here and accompany you to the airport to help you board your flight home.

EXTENSION SHIMLA
Day 13 Delhi - Shimla

After breakfast at the hotel, you will fly to Shimla, located in the northwest Himalayas. The British, who made Shimla their summer capital, dubbed it ‘Queen of the Hills’.

On arrival, you will check in to you hotel where you will have some time to relax. Your hotel, situated at 8250 feet, will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. You may also enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi and heated pool. You can take plenty of walks in the trails nearby that allow you to enjoy the fragrant pine forests.

You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 14 Shimla

After breakfast, you explore the hill station of Shimla. You can take a walk along the Mall Road, which is the main shopping street with plenty of shops, restaurant and bars. People usually take their time strolling down Mall Road, stopping to chat and meet up with their friends.

You will also visit Christ Church, the second oldest church in the country with beautiful stained glass windows.

Next you will visit the nearby Jakhu Hill. Situated at 8,000 feet, this peak allows beautiful views of the town and the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located at the top of the hill and is also home to hundreds of monkeys all eager to be fed!

Kufri, located 13 kms away from Shimla has a small Himayalan Zoo as and has a popular ski track.

The scenic beauty of Shimla and the surrounding areas allow plenty of opportunities for mountain bicycling, horse riding and river rafting. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 15 Shimla - Delhi

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.

Afterwards, you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. EXTENSION ANANDA
Day 13 Delhi - Haridwar - Ananda OR Delhi - Dehradun – Ananda

Today you will either travel by train to Haridwar or by flight to Dehradun to make your way to Ananda in the Himalayas. This beautiful spa hotel is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Peaceful and tranquil, this is the perfect location to relax, detox and unwind. The spa hotel offers yoga, meditation and ayurvedic remedies for your mind and body.

After checking in, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing at the hotel.

Day 14 and Day 15 Ananda

You will spend the next two days trying the various wellness regimes on offer at the hotel. Traditional yoga, and Ayurveda can be combined with the finest international wellness experiences to rejuvenate you mind, body and spirit.

Day 16 Ananda - Haridwar - Delhi OR Ananda - Dehradun - Delhi

After breakfast, you will either board the train to Delhi from Haridwar or leave for Dehradun to catch your flight back to Delhi. After checking into your hotel, you will have some free time before you turn in for the night.

Day 13 Delhi - Goa

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa. Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, explore the Goan churches and cathedrals. You will start with a visit to the Se Cathedral. Consecrated in 1640, the cathedral is dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria.

Next you visit the Church of St Francis Xavier. Goans are deeply devoted to St Francis Xavier, and though the church has only one altar, this church offers visitors simple sanctity.

St. Catherine’s Church stands out as a pale yellow structure with distinctly Renaissance features. The Archaeological Survey of India now protects the church.

You will also see the Viceroy’s Arch. The arch was built as a memorial to Vasco De Gama and stands on the jetty of Old Goa. It is said that every Viceroy had to pass through this arch before taking office.

The Miramar beach is a beautiful golden beach with soft sand, and dotted with palm trees. With its captivating views, it is an ideal location for lovely long walks along the shore.

You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 14 & 15 Goa

For the next two days you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.

Day 16 Goa - Delhi

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.

Day 14 Delhi - Varanasi

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Varanasi. The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins. It is also considered a holy city for Buddhists, believed to have been designated a pilgrimage site by Gautama Buddha himself. A city of temples, art, literature and education, the atmosphere in Varanasi is completely unique.

On arrival, you will check into your hotel.

In the evening, you will take a boat ride on the River Ganges. Here every evening, a prayer ceremony is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. The sunset ceremony is truly a sight to behold!

You will then return to your hotel to spend the night

Day 15 Varanasi

Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores.

You will return to your hotel and have breakfast. In the afternoon you will head to Sarnath for an excursion. Sarnath is a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists. It is the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha taught his Dharma (faith) and is also an important centre for the arts. You will also visit the Sarnath Museum. You will return to your hotel to relax and spend the night.

Day 16 Varanasi - Delhi

After breakfast, you will have some free time to explore the city on your own before heading to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival, you will have some time at leisure before dinner. Afterwards you will head to the airport. A Kamalan representative will help you check in and board your flight home.
