Day 01 Bangalore
On your arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel to help you check in. You will spend the night here.
Day 02 Bangalore – Mysore ( 150 Kms - 3 Hrs )
This morning, you will have breakfast and leave for Mysore. The city of Mysore has always reflected the grandeur of its ancient royalty and artistic traditions. It has a rich heritage with beautiful palaces and temples and is also famous for its silk and sandalwood.
En route you will stop to visit Srirangapatnam, a place of great religious and historical significance. In fact, it is the site of the infamous battle between Tipu Sultan and the British army. Tipu died in battle within the fort of Srirangaptnam and the place where he fell has been turned into a memorial.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. Afterwards, you will visit the Chanumdi Hills. The Chamundi Hills offer a panoramic view of the region and a long stairway of 1511 steps leads to the top of the hill. Though it is an effort to climb to the top, the view is most definitely worth it!
After that you will visit the Mysore Palace. This spectacular building was commissioned in 1897 but was only complete in 1912. Every year it plays host to the annual Maysore Dasara festival.
In the evening, you will walk around the local vegetable markets and soak up the local atmosphere. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 03 Mysore – Kabini ( 100 Kms - 2 Hrs 30 )
After breakfast, you will leave for Kabini. Kabini is a popular wildlife destination in the area and has a charming lake and lush green landscape. This is an ideal place to spot large herds of elephants and was once a popular hunting location for Indian Royalty and British Viceroys.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will head out for a jungle safari. You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 04 Kabini
Early this morning, you will head for a jungle safari by boat and return to your hotel for breakfast. You will have the rest of the morning at leisure to relax. You will have lunch at your hotel. Afterwards, you will take a walk and bicyle ride through the picturesque Kabini village.
You will head back to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 05 Kabini – Coorg ( 160 Kms - 4 Hrs 30 )
This morning you will have breakfast and head to Coorg. Coorg is considered the Scotland of India, with its breathtaking landscapes, lush forests and acres of plantations.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will visit a coffee and cardamom plantation. Later you will head back to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 06 Coorg
After breakfast, you will visit the Dubare elephant camp. Here you will observe elephants and their daily activities. You can also take a ride on one of the elephants here! Afterwards you will visit the Tibetan village, the second largest Tibetan settlement outside of Tibet. It has a monastery and flea market.
You will return to your hotel for lunch. After a free evening to relax you will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 07 Coorg – Tellicherry ( 140 Kms - 4 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will head Tellicherry. Tellicherry, on the Malabar Coast, is known as the city of crocket and circuses. It is believed that Indians first played cricket here and that Tellicherry was also the birthplace of the Indian circus.
Once you have checked in to your hotel, you will have lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Mahe town. This quaint town was a French colony until the 50’s and reflects both Indian and French heritage.
A visit to the Tellicherry spice market is an experience not to be missed! In the evening, you will witness the Theyyam dance, a Hindu ritual of worship. It is considered a great privilege to perform this ritual and the performers hold an esteemed position in the area.
After this you will head back to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 08 Tellicherry
Early this morning, you will visit a local fish market. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel for breakfast. Then you will head out to visit a local dance school that teaches classical and folk dance forms of region.
Later, you will visit the town of Kannur. Known as the land of looms, no visit to Kannur is complete without a visit to a weaving factory. You will return to your hotel for lunch. Afterwards, you will witness the Theyyam dance, a Hindu ritual of worship. It is considered a great privilege to perform this ritual and the performers hold an esteemed position in the area.
You will return to your hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 09 Tellicherry - Neeleshwaram (90 kms - 2 Hrs 30 )
After breakfast, you will leave for Neelshwaram. On arrival, you will check in to the hotel and have lunch. In the evening, you will have leisure time to relax on the beach. You will then head back to your hotel for dinner and spend the night.
Day 10 & 11 Neeleshwaram
For the next two days, you can enjoy the beaches around the area. The sandy beaches around Neelshwaram are a great opportunity to relax and unwind. The local people are also warm and friendly. The area is also famous for the naturopathy centre nearby.
Day 12 Neeleshwaram – Mangalore - Mumbai ( 90 Kms - 2 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will head to the Mangalore airport to board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival, your Kamalan will representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. You can relax at the hotel and get ready for the return flight. After dinner, you will head to the airport and board your flight home.
EXTENSION GOA
Day 13 Mumbai - Goa
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa. Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. You will then have some free time to relax on the beach before heading back to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 15 & 16 Goa
For the next two days you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.
Day 17 Goa - Mumbai
After breakfast, you will have the morning at leisure. After lunch, you will catch a flight to Mumbai where you will head to the international airport to board your flight home.
EXTENSION NASHIK WINE YARD
Day 13 Mumbai – Nashik ( 185 Kms - 5 Hrs )
You will leave for Nashik after breakfast. The city of Nashik is known for its pleasant climate and picturesque beauty. Located on the banks of the Godavari River, the architecture of the city is characterized by courtyard houses or ‘wadas’.
After lunch, you will have the evening free and will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 14 Nashik
After breakfast, you will visit the Sula Vineyards. Rajeev Samant started this young vineyard in the late 90’s, after quitting his job in the Silicon Valley. Since then, Sula wines have grown in popularity and considered to be India’s finest wines. The vineyards now cover approximately 1500 acres of plantations.
You will visit the picturesque Tasting Rooms at the vineyard that has panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The vineyards also have a beautifully landscaped amphitheatre that hosts a variety of events. The vineyard also has a charming restaurant ‘Little Italy’ that’s offers visitors a unique dining experience.
After lunch in the city, you will head back to your hotel where you will have the evening at leisure. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 15 Nashik – Mumbai
After breakfast, you head for the Nashik railway station to catch your train to Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai, you will have lunch in the city.
In the afternoon you will visit the Gateway of India. This monument, located on the waterfront in South Mumbai, was erected to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The monument was completed in 1924. The monument was meant to be the first sight for all visitors coming to Bombay by boat.
Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to wash and change before catching your flight back home.
