Day 1 Delhi
Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be met by your Kamalan representative who will accompany you, and help you check into your hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 2 Delhi-Agra ( 200 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will start the visit of Delhi. The city of Delhi is located on the banks of the river Yamuna. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BCE. Since Mughal times through to most of the British Raj, the city has been the political capital of the country. Today it continues to be the capital of the nation as a bustling metropolitan city that proudly carries images of its glorious past.
First you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.
You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!
Next you will see the Red Fort from outside. Also constructed under the emperor Shah Jahan, this fort also served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. The British later used it as a military camp. It continues to be significant even today, as every Independence day, the Prime Minister raises the flag here.
You will also get a chance to see the government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.
You will also explore India Gate, one of the largest war memorials in India. Designed by Edward Lutyens, it commemorates the thousands of soldiers that lost their lives during the First World War. This monument is an important landmark in Delhi, with many important roads leading off the Gate. In the evenings, India Gate is lit up and you will find many families enjoying their free time nearby.
After the Delhi visit you will proceed towards Agra and have lunch enroute. On arrival in Agra you will relax at your hotel and have dinner.
Day 3 Agra - Bhandavgarh
Early this morning, you will visit the Taj Mahal. Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of labourers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.
On the return from Taj Mahal you will have breakfast in the hotel and proceed for the visit of the Red Fort, also called the Agra Fort, and was commissioned in 1565 by Akbar. Later Shah Jahan used it as a palace. The beautiful yet forbidding structure is a beautiful example of North Indian Mughal architecture.
After lunch you will then get ready to board your overnight train to Umaria ( Bandhavgarh )
Day 4 Bandhavgarh
This morning, you will arrive in Umaria and thereafter drive towards Bandhavgarh National Park after breakfast. The Bandhavgarh national park has a great deal of biodiversity with a high density of India’s tiger population. It is believed that Bandhavgarh was once home to a population of white tigers, though none have been sighted in the last 50 years.
On your arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch.
In the evening, you will leave for a jeep safari to explore the park. After this, you will return to your hotel and spend the night.
Day 05 Bandhavgarh
Early this morning, you will begin your jeep safari allowing you to enjoy the spectacular flora and fauna in Bandhavgarh. One of the highlights of this safari is tracking tigers on elephant back. You will surely carry memories of this experience for many years to come!
You will return to your hotel for breakfast and have some free time to relax. In the evening, you will continue your explorations of the region. You will then return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night.
Day 06 Bandhavgarh – Khajuraho ( 265 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast you will leave for Khajuraho. The town of Khajuraho is famous for the legendary Khajuraho temples, which belong to both the Hindu and Jain faiths. Built in the time of the Chandela Dynasty, the temples were built between the 9th and the 12th century. Though only 20 of the original 85 temples survive, the facades of these temples are a sight to behold. They are replete with erotic sculptures and depictions of dance, music and other creative arts.
On arrival you will check into your hotel and have lunch. In the evening you will leave to visit the Eastern temples of Khajuraho. The Eastern temples of Khajuraho are situated close to the village. Few of the Jain temples in the area are still in use. The temples have fine sculptures without sensuous themes. One of the oldest temples in Khajuraho, which is mostly in ruins is also situated here.
After your visit you will return to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 7 Khajuraho - Varanasi
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Varanasi.
The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins. It is also considered a holy city for Buddhists, believed to have been designated a pilgrimage site by Gautama Buddha himself. A city of temples, art, literature and education, the atmosphere in Varanasi is completely unique.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel.
In the evening, you will witness the Aarti ceremony at the ghats. Every evening, this prayer ceremony is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. Ritual lamps are lit, signifying the light of wisdom, offering pilgrims the chance to purify themselves. This deeply touching experience is truly a sight to behold.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 8 Varanasi - Delhi
Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores.
You will also discover the narrow lanes of Varanasi. These old serpentine lines will allow you to experience the life of the local people, which is almost reminiscent of a bygone era.
You will then head to the airport to board your flight back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, a room will be provided for wash and change and dinner thereafter your Kamalan representative will assist you to board your flight back home.
EXTENSION GOA
Day 9 Delhi - Goa
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa.
Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have some free time to relax. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 10 Goa
After breakfast, you will visit the Church of St Francis Xavier. Goans are deeply devoted to St Francis Xavier, and though the church has only one altar, this church offers visitors simple sanctity.
You will also get a chance to visit Fort Aguada, built in 1612 by the Portuguese. You will also get a chance to explore some of old Portuguese houses in the area. After lunch, you will have some free time to relax. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 11 Goa
After breakfast, you will have some time to relax and explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 12 Goa - Delhi
After breakfast, you can spend some time at the beach.
Post lunch you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. You will be met by your Kamalan representative on your arrival. You will have the chance to wash and change before catching your flight back home.
EXTENSION SHIMLA
Day 9 Delhi - Shimla
After breakfast at the hotel, you will fly to Shimla, located in the northwest Himalayas. The British, who made Shimla their summer capital, dubbed it ‘Queen of the Hills’.
On arrival, you will check in to you hotel where you will have some time to relax. Your hotel, situated at 8250 feet, will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. You may also enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi and heated pool. You can take plenty of walks in the trails nearby that allow you to enjoy the fragrant pine forests.
You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 10 Shimla
After breakfast, you explore the hill station of Shimla. You can take a walk along the Mall Road, which is the main shopping street with plenty of shops, restaurant and bars. People usually take their time strolling down Mall Road, stopping to chat and meet up with their friends.
You will also visit Christ Church, the second oldest church in the country with beautiful stained glass windows.
Next you will visit the nearby Jakhu Hill. Situated at 8,000 feet, this peak allows beautiful views of the town and the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located at the top of the hill and is also home to hundreds of monkeys all eager to be fed!
Kufri, located 13 kms away from Shimla has a small Himayalan Zoo as and has a popular ski track.
The scenic beauty of Shimla and the surrounding areas allow plenty of opportunities for mountain bicycling, horse riding and river rafting. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 11 Shimla - Delhi
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. You will be met by your Kamalan representative on your arrival. You will have the chance to wash and change before catching your flight back home.
EXTENSION ANANDA
Day 9 Delhi - Haridwar Or Dheradun - Ananda
Today you will either travel by train to Haridwar or by flight to Dehradun to make your way to Ananda in the Himalayas. This beautiful spa hotel is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Peaceful and tranquil, this is the perfect location to relax, detox and unwind. The spa hotel offers yoga, meditation and ayurvedic remedies for your mind and body.
After checking in, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing at the hotel.
Day 10 Ananda

Day 12 Ananda - Haridwar Or Dehradun - Delhi
After breakfast, you will either board the train to Delhi from Haridwar or leave for Dehradun to catch your flight back to Delhi. You will be met by your Kamalan representative on arrival, who will help you check into your hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 13 Delhi
After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore New Delhi. You will start your visit with Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where the Mahatma was cremated in 1948. It consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame that burns at one end. A visit to Rajghat is an innately moving experience.
The next stop is Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture
You will have lunch in the city and have some time to relax. After dinner, your Kamalan representative will help you board your flight back home.
EXTENSION AMRITSAR
Day 9 Delhi - Amritsar
After breakfast, you will head to the station to board your train to Amritsar. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch. Then you will head to explore the city of Amritsar. Situated in the northwestern region of India, Amritsar is close to India’s border with Pakistan. The city is well known for the Golden Temple and its warm and hospitable people.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch before exploring the city.
You will start with a visit to the Golden Temple. This is the most significant temple for the Sikh community. The ‘langar’ or community kitchen serves free meals all year round to roughly 40,000 visitors a day. It is truly a remarkable experience to visit this place of worship.
After this, you will visit the Jallianwala Bagh. This small park was the site of a massacre in 1919 spearheaded by a British general. This event caused general unrest and agitations and was one of the precursors to India’s struggle for freedom.
Next you will visit the Durgiana temple. Dedicated to the Goddess Durga, this temple is based on the architecture of the Golden Temple. You will then visit Rambagh, the palace and gardens of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The summer palace has now been converted into a museum holding weapons and portraits.
You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 10 Amritsar - Delhi
