Day 01 Mumbai
Upon your arrival, you will be met by your Kamalan representative who will accompany you, and help you check into your hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 02 Mumbai - Nagpur – Kanha ( Flight + 210 Kms - 4-5 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will fly to Nagpur. Nagpur is located in centre of India. In fact, the ‘zero milestone’ of India is located here.
Then you will head to Kanha National Park. This region was perhaps the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. On your arrival, you will check into your hotel where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 03 Kanha
This morning you will have the opportunity to take a jeep safari through Kanha National Park. Here, beautiful forests are interspersed with meadows and lakes. The natural splendor of the area is heightened by stringent protection of species such as the hardground swamp deer and tigers.
You will return to your hotel for breakfast and to relax for a while. In the evening you will continue your jeep safari and possibly get to see the spectacular sunset view.
You will then return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night.
Day 04 Kanha – Bandhavgarh ( 275 Kms - 6-7 Hrs )
This morning, you will leave for Bandhavgarh National Park after breakfast. The Bandhavgarh national park has a great deal of biodiversity with a high density of India’s tiger population. It is believed that Bandhavgarh was once home to a population of white tigers, though none have been sighted in the last 50 years.
On your arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch.
In the evening, you will leave for a jeep safari to explore the park. After this, you will return to your hotel and spend the night.
Day 05 Bandhavgarh
Early this morning, you will begin your jeep safari allowing you to enjoy the spectacular flora and fauna in Bandhavgarh. One of the highlights of this safari is tracking tigers on elephant back. You will surely carry memories of this experience for many years to come!
You will return to your hotel for breakfast and have some free time to relax. In the evening, you will continue your explorations of the region. You will then return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night.
Day 06 Bandhavgarh – Khajuraho ( 265 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast you will leave for Khajuraho. The town of Khajuraho is famous for the legendary Khajuraho temples, which belong to both the Hindu and Jain faiths. Built in the time of the Chandela Dynasty, the temples were built between the 9th and the 12th century. Though only 20 of the original 85 temples survive, the facades of these temples are a sight to behold. They are replete with erotic sculptures and depictions of dance, music and other creative arts.
On arrival you will check into your hotel and have lunch. In the evening you will leave to visit the Eastern temples of Khajuraho. The Eastern temple sof Khajuraho are situated close to the village. Few of the Jain temples in the area are still in use. The temples have few sculptures without sensuous themes. One of the oldest temples in Khajuraho, which is mostly in ruins is also situated here.
After your visit you will return to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 07 Khajuraho – Chambal ( 150 Kms - 4 Hrs )
This morning, after breakfast, you will visit the Western Temples of Khajuraho. The Western group of temples is entirely Hindu and contain some of the most erotic sculptures found in a place of worship. These temples are considered to be the most evolved temple architecture and represent the Chandela dynasty at its peak.
After this, you will head to Chambal. Chambal is located in Central India and its natural sanctuary is located near the Chambal River amid deep ravines. The area is has been used for the conservation of the gharial and the Gangetic river dolphin. It is also home to marsh crocodiles, otters and many varieties of birds.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. After lunch you will visit the crocodile lake in Chambal.
You will then return to your hotel and spend the night.
Day 08 Chambal – Agra ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. After lunch, you will visit Itimad Ud Daulah. This is a mausoleum commissioned by the Mughal Empress Nur jehan for her father. It is believed to be the blue print of the Taj Mahal and is said to resemble a jewel in a marble box.
Next you will get a taste of the local culture by visiting the bazaars and shops before heading to see the magnificent Taj Mahal.
Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.
You will then head back to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 9 Agra - Ranthambore
Today you will take an early morning train and head to Ranthambore. You will check into your hotel on arrival. You will then begin your jeep safari through Ranthambore National Park.
One of the largest national parks in the country, it is most famous for its tigers. The dry deciduous forests make tiger spotting easy. It also houses other big cats, as well wild boar, hyena and many other animals. Ranthambore is also home to one of the largest banyan trees in India.
You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 10 Ranthambore
You will begin the day with a jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park, allowing you to observe the flora and fauna of the region. The area is dream come true for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. Apart from the natural beauty of the region, the park is dotted with historical monuments – including a fort, ruined pavilions, wells, and other remnants of the past.
You will then return to your hotel for breakfast and have some time to relax.
In the evening you will continue your jeep safari through Ranthambore National Park and its amazing wildlife. You will then return to your hotel for dinner and spend the night.
Day 11 Ranthambore - Delhi
After breakfast, you will leave to catch your train to Delhi. You will check into your hotel on arrival.
You will then have the opportunity to explore Delhi. You will begin with a visit to the the Qutab Minar. This is the tallest brick minaret in the world, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. His successors continued to enhance the structure, with the final storey added in 1386.
The next stop is Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture.
Next you will see India Gate, one of the largest war memorials in India. Designed by Edward Lutyens, it commemorates the thousands of soldiers that lost their lives during the First World War. This monument is an important landmark in Delhi, with many important roads leading off the Gate. In the evenings, India Gate is lit up and you will find many families enjoying their free time near by.
You will also get a chance to see the government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 12 Delhi
After breakfast, you will start the visit with Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.
You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!
Next you will visit the Red Fort. Also constructed under the emperor Shah Jahan, this fort also served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. The British later used it as a military camp. It continues to be significant even today, as every Independence Day, the Prime Minister raises the flag here.
After lunch, you will have some free time to relax. You will have dinner at your hotel before leaving for the airport to catch your flight back home.
EXTENSION SHIMLA
Day 13 Delhi - Shimla
After breakfast at the hotel, you will fly to Shimla, located in the northwest Himalayas. The British, who made Shimla their summer capital, dubbed it ‘Queen of the Hills’.
On arrival, you will check in to you hotel where you will have some time to relax. Your hotel, situated at 8250 feet, will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. You may also enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi and heated pool. You can take plenty of walks in the trails nearby that allow you to enjoy the fragrant pine forests.
You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 14 Shimla
After breakfast, you explore the hill station of Shimla. You can take a walk along the Mall Road, which is the main shopping street with plenty of shops, restaurant and bars. People usually take their time strolling down Mall Road, stopping to chat and meet up with their friends.
You will also visit Christ Church, the second oldest church in the country with beautiful stained glass windows.
Next you will visit the nearby Jakhu Hill. Situated at 8,000 feet, this peak allows beautiful views of the town and the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located at the top of the hill and is also home to hundreds of monkeys all eager to be fed!
Kufri, located 13 kms away from Shimla has a small Himayalan Zoo as and has a popular ski track.
The scenic beauty of Shimla and the surrounding areas allow plenty of opportunities for mountain bicycling, horse riding and river rafting. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 15 Shimla - Delhi
After breakfast, you will catch a flight back to Delhi. After checking into your hotel, you will set out to explore Delhi.
You will start with a visit to the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.

Day 13 Delhi - Haridwar - Ananda OR Delhi - Dehradun ) – Ananda
Today you will either travel by train to Haridwar or by flight to Dehradun to make your way to Ananda in the Himalayas. This beautiful spa hotel is located in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Peaceful and tranquil, this is the perfect location to relax, detox and unwind. The spa hotel offers yoga, meditation and ayurvedic remedies for your mind and body.
After checking in, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing at the hotel.
Day 14 & 15 Ananda
After breakfast, you can try the various wellness regimes on offer at the hotel. Traditional yoga, and Ayurveda can be combined with the finest international wellness experiences to rejuvenate you mind, body and spirit.
After a truly rejuvenating couple of days, you will spend the night at your hotel before heading out the next morning.
Day 16 Ananda - Haridwar - Delhi OR Ananda - Dehradun - Delhi

Day 9 Agra – Jaipur 240 Kms ( 5 Hrs)

You will then head towards Jaipur. Also called the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the city of royalty. Filled with palaces and forts, Jaipur is the perfect place for visitors to get a glimpse into Rajasthan and its culture.
Once you have checked into your hotel, you will leave to visit the Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a popular landmark in Jaipur. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Made of pink sand stone, the façade is almost pyramid shaped and adorned with latticework. You will then visit the local bazaars of the area and have some free time before heading back to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 10 Jaipur
After breakfast, you will explore the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur. You will visit the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!
Next you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.
After lunch in the city, you will then get to explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730.
To enjoy the local flavor of the area, you will experience a rickshaw ride through the local bazaars. You will then return to your hotel, where you will have your evening free before you turn in for the night

Day 13 Delhi/Goa
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel. You will then visit the Se Cathedral. Consecrated in 1640, the cathedral is dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria.
Next you visit the Church of St Francis Xavier. Goans are deeply devoted to St Francis Xavier, and though the church has only one altar, this church offers visitors simple sanctity.
You will also see the Viceroy’s Arch. The arch was built as a memorial to Vasco De Gama and stands on the jetty of Old Goa. It is said that every Viceroy had to pass through this arch before taking office.
Day 14 and Day 15 Goa
Over the next two you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.
Day 17 Goa/Delhi
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi.

Day 13 Delhi - Varanasi By flight
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Varanasi. The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins. It is also considered a holy city for Buddhists, believed to have been designated a pilgrimage site by Gautama Buddha himself. A city of temples, art, literature and education, the atmosphere in Varanasi is completely unique.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel.
In the evening, you will witness the Aarti ceremony at the ghats. Every evening, this prayer ceremony is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. Ritual lamps are lit, signifying the light of wisdom, offering pilgrims the chance to purify themselves. This deeply touching experience is truly a sight to behold.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 14 Varanasi
Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores.
You will also discover the narrow lanes of Varanasi. These old serpentine lines will allow you to experience the life of the local people, which is almost reminiscent of a bygone era.
After lunch in the city, you head to Sarnath for an excursion. Sarnath is a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists. It is the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha taught his Dharma (faith) and is also an important centre for the arts.
You will then return to the hotel to relax and spend the night.
Day 15 Varanasi - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, you can relax or explore the city on your own. You will then head to the airport to board your flight back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you will check into your hotel and spend the night.
