Day 01 Trivandrum-Kovalam (20 Kms - 45 Min )

On arrival, you will be met by a representative of Kamalan Travels at the airport who will accompany you to your hotel and help you check in in Kovalam.

After lunch, you can relax on the beach. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 02 Kovalam

After breakfast, you will head to Cape Comorin, the southern most tip of the Indian Peninsula.

Enroute you will visit the Padmanathapuram Palace. Built in 1601, this is beautiful example of traditional Kerala architecture with delicate wooden latticework.

Once at Cape Comorin, you can enjoy at boat ride and visit two rocky islets off the shore. These are famous as an area for meditation where Swami Vivekananda (a noted Hindu saint) is said to have sat in deep meditation.

After lunch in a local restaurant, you can wait to witness the unforgettable sunset from the tip of India.

Later you will head back to Kovalam.

Day 03 Kovalam

Spend the day enjoying the fun and relaxation that the beaches of Kovalam have to offer. Swimming, surfing and Ayurvedic treatments are popular ways to spend you days at Kovalam.

Day 04 Kovalam- Marari ( 205 Kms - 4–5 Hrs )

After breakfast you will drive to Alleppey, where you will enjoy a cruise on the backwaters of Kerala. You will have lunch on board the houseboat.

After the cruise you will head to Mararikulam where you will spend the night.

Day 05 Marari

Today you will have a free day at the beach. You can also try and Ayurvedic treatments and massages.

Day 06 Marari- Cochin ( 60 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )

You will have you morning free to relax. After lunch you will head to Cochin. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional Kathakali dance in a local theatre. Kathakali is a traditional Indian dance drama, known for its attractive make up and elaborate costumes.

After dinner you will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 07 Cochin

After breakfast you will visit Fort Cochin with its wealth of colonial architecture. The extraordinary Chinese fishing nets are a sight to behold. These unusual, elegantly balanced, shore operated fishnets are 10m high and rumored to be of Chinese origin, possibly introduced by Zhang He.

A visit to the St Francis Church is also important, since it is the oldest European church in India built in 1503. Vasco de Gama was originally buried here, before he was moved to Lisbon.

The Jewish synagogue in Cochin was built in 1568 and is of great historical importance. No visit to Cochin is complete without viewing its attractive collections.

In the evening, you will visit Ernakulam, the commercial capital of Kerala.

You will then return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 08 Cochin - Mangalore - Neeleshwaram (90 Kms - 2 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch a flight to Mangalore. On arrival, you will head to Neeleshwaram, where you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

You will have the evening free and will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 09 till Day 11 Neeleshwaram

For the next few days, you can enjoy the beaches around the area. The sandy beaches around Neeleshwaram are a great opportunity to relax and unwind. The local people are also warm and friendly. The area is also famous for the naturopathy centre nearby.

Day 12 Neeleshwaram – Mangalore - Mumbai (90 Kms - 2 Hrs )

After breakfast you will head to the airport to board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival have lunch, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the Gateway of India.

After dinner your Kamalan representative will assist you in boarding your flight.

INSERTION Tea Plantation

Day 16 Marari- Periyar (130 kms - 4-5 Hrs )

After breakfast you will head to Periyar. Enroute, you will have the opportunity to visit the rubber, spice and tea plantations that this area is famous for. You will then check in to your hotel and have lunch.

Post lunch, you will have free time to enjoy an Ayurvedic massage or watch Kalaripayttu in a local theatre. Kalaripayttu is perhaps one of the oldest forms of martial arts in existence and includes grappling, wrestling, kicks and weaponry.

Day 7 Periyar-Munnar ( 170 Kms - 4-5 Hrs )

This morning, you will drive through the beautiful landscape after breakfast and visit the tea gardens, which are breathtakingly beautiful with vast hillocks carpeted with tea plants.

You will arrive and check in to the hotel. After lunch you will visit the tea museum in Munnar. The Tea Museum at Munnar depicts the journey and efforts of the pioneers to help make this region into a major tea plantation centre. Tea lovers will be particularly fascinated by the various stages of tea processing.

You will also have the opportunity to visit a local market before heading back to your hotel for dinner and spend the night.

Day 8 Munnar-Cochin( 150 Kms - 4 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to Cochin, where you will have the chance to explore the modern city and have some time to shop. You will spend the night at your hotel.

INSERTION GOA

Day 12 Mangalore - Goa

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to board your flight to Goa.

On arrival, your Kamalan representative will accompany you to your hotel and help you check in.

You will have the evening to yourself, and will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 13 & Day 14 Goa

Over the next couple of days, you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.

Day 15 Goa - Mumbai

After a free morning, you will head to the airport in the afternoon to catch a flight to Mumbai. You will then catch your connecting flight home from Mumbai.
