Day 01 Cochin

On arrival, your Kamalan representative will pick you up, accompany you to your hotel and help you check in.You will have time to relax at your hotel and catch up on some sleep.

After lunch, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the Fort Cochin area and soak up the local flavour. Fort Cochin has some of the finest European architecture in the region influenced by the Portuguese and the Dutch. You will also get to witness the traditional Kathakali dance.

You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 02 Cochin

After breakfast you will visit Fort Cochin with its wealth of colonial architecture. The extraordinary Chinese fishing nets are a sight to behold. These unusual, elegantly balanced, shore operated fishnets are 10m high and rumored to be of Chinese origin, possibly introduced by Zhang He.

A visit to the St Francis Church is also important, since it is the oldest European church in India built in 1503. Vasco de Gama was originally buried here, before he was moved to Lisbon.

The Jewish synagogue in Cochin was built in 1568 and is of great historical importance. No visit to Cochin is complete without viewing its attractive collections.

After lunch at the hotel, you will have some free time in the city of Cochin before you head back to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 03 Cochin - Kumarakom ( 60 Kms - 1 Hrs)

After breakfast, you will head to Kumarakom where you will check in to your hotel. You then have some free trim in the land of the backwaters. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 04 Kumarakom

You will spend a relaxing day at the resort in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala.

Day 05 Kumarakom -Kovalam

After breakfast, you will leave for Thottapaly by houseboat and have lunch on board. On the houseboat you will experience the serene pace of life in the backwaters and also appreciate the beauty of the water birds.

Form Thottapaly, you will head to the stunning beaches of Kovalam. The name Kovalam means ‘grove of coconut trees’ and the name does not disappoint. The beaches of Kovalam with their endless expanse of coconut groves are truly idyllic.

Highly popular with tourists, the white sandy beaches of Kovalam have managed to retain their charm.

Day 06 to Day 10 Kovalam

You can spend the next few days enjoying the fun and relaxation that the beaches of Kovalam have to offer. Swimming, surfing and Ayurvedic treatments are popular ways to spend your days at Kovalam.

Day 11 Kovalam - Trivandrum ( 25 Kms - 30 min )

Today you will head to the airport of Trivandrum to catch your flight back home.

EXTENTION LAKSHADWEEP
Day 11 Trivandram - Agatti ~ Bangaram

After breakfast, you will be taken to the Trivandrum airport to catch a connecting flight to Agatti. Here, a representative from the Bangaram Island will help you board your motorboat that will take you to the island. Between July and September, you can reach the island by helicopter as well.

Day 12 to Day 14 Bangaram Island

You can spend the next few days exploring the magnificent Bangaram Island, which has pristine silver sand beaches, breathtaking blue lagoons, coral reefs, and coconut palms. You can also engage in a variety of water sports such as snorkeling and scuba diving. Bangaram Island is also an ideal place to enjoy deep-sea fishing.

Day 15 Bangaram ~ Agatti - Cochin

After breakfast you will head to Agatti by boat to catch a flight to Cochin. After lunch, you can wash and change and prepare for your flight home. Your Kamalan representative will be there to assist you to board you flight.

Day 11 Trivandram - Goa

This morning, you will head the airport after breakfast to board your flight to Goa. On arrival, you will head to your hotel to check in.

After lunch, you will visit the Church of St Francis of Assisi. This church, originally built around 1551, by a group of Franciscan friars, was later demolished. The present church was built in 1661. After the Portuguese closed the convent in 1835, it fell into a state of disrepair. In 1964, the Archaeological Survey of India resurrected the church, and it now also houses a museum.

Next you will visit the Cathedral of Bom Jesus. This Basilica has long attracted Catholics from all over the world as it houses the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa. His body is embalmed in glass coffin inside a silver coffin.

After visiting the churches, you will walk through the old Portuguese colonies.

Day 11 & 12 Goa

You can spend the next couple of day exploring the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.

Day 13 Goa - Mumbai

This evening you will board your flight to Mumbai to catch your connecting flight back home. Your Kamalan representative will be there to assist you to board you flight.

INSERTION TEA PLANTATION
Day 03 Cochin - Munnar ( 150 Kms - 4 hrs )

This morning, you will drive through the beautiful landscape after breakfast and visit the tea gardens, which are breathtakingly beautiful with vast hillocks carpeted with tea plants.

You will arrive and check in to the hotel. After lunch you will visit the tea museum in Munnar. The Tea Museum at Munnar depicts the journey and efforts of the pioneers to helped make this region into a major tea plantation centre. Tea lovers will be particularly fascinated by the various stages of tea processing.

You will also have the opportunity to visit a local market before heading back to your hotel for dinner and spend the night.

Day 04 Munnar - Periyar ( 170 Kms - 4 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to Periyar. Famous for its tiger reserve and national park, Periyar is surrounded by spice plantations, tea gardens and rubber plantations.

After exploring the region, you will check into your hotel and have lunch.

The afternoon can be spent enjoying an Ayurvedic massage or watching Kalaripayttu in a local theatre. Kalaripayttu is perhaps one of the oldest forms of martial arts in existence and includes grappling, wrestling, kicks and weaponry. Alternatively, you may have the chance to go for an evening safari in the Periyar wildlife sanctuary.

You will have dinner and spend the night here.

Day 05 Periyar - Kumarakom ( 130 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 )

After breakfast, you will head to Kumarakom. Enroute, you will visit rubber and spice plantations for which Periyar is famous. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch.

In the afternoon you are free to enjoy an Ayurvedic massage and a sunset cruise in Kumarakom.

You have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.
