Day 01 Delhi

On arrival you will be met by a representative of Kamalan Travels at the airport who will accompany you to the hotel and will assist with check-in formalities. You will receive a traditional Indian welcome with garlands and enjoy a bottle of Indian wine before you turn in for the night.

Day 02 Delhi

This morning, you will have breakfast at your hotel before heading out to explore Delhi.

You will begin with a visit to the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.

You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk; Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!

Next you will head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where the Mahatma was cremated in 1948. It consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame that burns at one end. A visit to Rajghat is an innately moving experience.

You will have lunch at one of the trendiest restaurants in the city. Afterwards, is a visit to Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture.

Next you will visit to the Qutab Minar. This is the tallest brick minaret in the world, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. His successors continued to enhance the structure, with the final storey added in 1386.

You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 03 Delhi - Jaipur ( 250 Kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Jaipur. Also called the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the city of royalty. Filled with palaces and forts, Jaipur is the perfect place for visitors to get a glimpse into Rajasthan and its culture.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. After lunch, you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.

You will then get to explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night. Next you will visit Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a popular landmark in Jaipur. Made of pink sand stone, the façade is almost pyramid shaped and adorned with latticework.

You will return to your hotel, enjoy a surprise gift, and turn in for the night.

Day 04 Jaipur

After breakfast, you will visit the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!

You will have lunch at the beautiful Samode Haveli and enjoy a traditional puppet show.

You have the evening free to relax. You will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 05 Jaipur – Nimaj ( 190 Kms - 4 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head to Nimaj Camps. This luxury tents at the Chhatra Sagar lakes is the epitome luxury and Rajput lifestyle, these tents instantly evokes grandeur and images royalty.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. In the evening, you will head to nearby lake. Here, you will enjoy watching the birds and the shimmering water. You may also choose to participate in a cooking demonstration and see how local specialties are prepared.

You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 06 Nimaj – Jodhpur ( 115 Kms - 2 Hrs )

This morning, after breakfast you will leave for Jodhpur. This is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also called the ‘Sun City’. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel.

After lunch, will visit the Mehrangarh Fort. This spectacular fort made from red sandstone, stands on a perpendicular cliff above the skyline of Jodhpur. The foundations of this fort were laid in 1459. Today it houses a museum with a fine collection of arms, costumes, paintings and even a collection of palanquins.

Next you will visit the Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The intricately carved façade, domes and pillars make this a site to behold.

Later you will take a walk through Sadar Bazaar, the bustling local market.

In the evening, you will head to the Hotel Taj hari Mahal in a vintage car for Jharokha dinner. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 07 Jodhpur - Sardargarh ( 200 Kms - 4 - 5 Hrs )

This morning, you will have breakfast and head to Sardargarh. The Sardargarh fort, now a heritage hotel, is an exquisite example of Rajput architecture, amidst mountains and deep forests.

En route, you will visit you will visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple and also have lunch nearby.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. In the evening, you may opt to take a jeep safari to explore the region. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 08 Sardargarh – Udaipur ( 94 Kms - 2 Hrs )

This morning, you will have breakfast and head to Udaipur. En route, you will visit Nagda-Eklingi. Nagda and Eklingi are famous for their old Indian temples with interesting architectural features. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. After lunch, you will visit Sahelion ki Bari. Legend has it that this picturesque garden was built for the queen and her ladies in waiting. The lush greenery is a treat in the deserts of Rajasthan. Afterwards, you will enjoy a boat ride in the lake.

(In case, you are staying at the Lake Palace Hotel, a pontoon dinner can be arranged)

You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 09 Udaipur

After breakfast, you will visit the City Palace. This architectural marvel blends Medieval, European and Chinese architecture replete with domes, towers and arches.

You will return to your hotel for lunch.

Afterwards, you can walk through the local markets or enjoy horse riding at Hotel Shikarbadi.

You will have dinner at Hotel Shiv Niwas before returning to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 10 Udaipur - Delhi

After breakfast, you will catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport. Later in the evening, you will head to the international airport to catch your return flight.

EXTENSION SHIMLA
Day 11 Delhi - Shimla

After breakfast at the hotel, you will fly to Shimla, located in the northwest Himalayas. The British, who made Shimla their summer capital, dubbed it ‘Queen of the Hills’.

On arrival, you will check in to you hotel where you will have some time to relax. Your hotel, situated at 8250 feet, will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. You may also enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi and heated pool. You can take plenty of walks in the trails nearby that allow you to enjoy the fragrant pine forests.

You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 12 Shimla

After breakfast, you explore the hill station of Shimla. You will visit Christ Church, the second oldest church in the country with beautiful stained glass windows.

Next you will visit the nearby Jakhu Hill. Situated at 8,000 feet, this peak allows beautiful views of the town and the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located at the top of the hill and is also home to hundreds of monkeys all eager to be fed!

Kufri, located 13 kms away from Shimla has a small Himayalan Zoo as and has a popular ski track.

After lunch, you can take a walk along the Mall Road, which is the main shopping street with plenty of shops, restaurant and bars. People usually take their time strolling down Mall Road, stopping to chat and meet up with their friends.

You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 13 Shimla - Delhi

After breakfast, you will catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport. Later in the evening, you will head to the international airport to catch your return flight.

EXTENSION ANANDA
Day 11 Delhi - Haridwar Or Dheradun - Ananda

Today you will either travel by train to Haridwar or by flight to Dehradun to make your way to Ananda in the Himalayas. This beautiful spa hotel is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Peaceful and tranquil, this is the perfect location to relax, detox and unwind. The spa hotel offers yoga, meditation and ayurvedic remedies for your mind and body.

After checking in, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing at the hotel.

Day 12 & 13 Ananda

You will spend the next two days trying the various wellness regimes on offer at the hotel. Traditional yoga, and Ayurveda can be combined with the finest international wellness experiences to rejuvenate you mind, body and spirit.

Day 14 Ananda - Haridwar Or Dehradun - Delhi

After breakfast, you will either board the train to Delhi from Haridwar or leave for Dehradun to catch your flight back to Delhi. After checking into your hotel, you will have some free time before you turn in for the night.

Day 15 Delhi

After breakfast, you will be free to explore the city or relax at the hotel and enjoy the wellness treatment before finally saying good bye to India

You will have lunch in the city and relax at your hotel before heading to the airport. Your Kamalan representative will meet you here and accompany you to the airport to help you board your flight home.

Day 11 Delhi - Amritsar

After breakfast, you will head to the station to board your train to Amritsar. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch before exploring the city. You will start with a visit to the Jallianwala Bagh. This small park was the site of a massacre in 1919 spearheaded by a British general. This event caused general unrest and agitations and was one of the precursors to India’s struggle for freedom.

Next you will visit the Durgiana temple. Dedicated to the Goddess Durga, this temple is based on the architecture of the Golden Temple. You will then visit Rambagh, the palace and gardens of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The summer palace has now been converted into a museum holding weapons and portraits.

Day 12 Amritsar - Delhi

This morning you will begin with an early morning visit to the Golden Temple. You will then return to your hotel for breakfast. Then you head to the station to board the train to Delhi. You will be met by your Kamalan representative who will help you check into your hotel where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, you will be free to explore the city or relax at the hotel and enjoy the wellness treatment before finally saying good bye to India

EXTENSION VARANASI
Day 11 Delhi - Varanasi

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Varanasi. The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins.

In the evening, you will witness the prayer ceremony that is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. The sunset ceremony is truly a sight to behold!You will then return to your hotel to spend the night

Day 12 Varanasi

Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores.

Your boat will be decorated with marigolds, you can recline in comfort and a musician will play the flute as you travel on the river.

You will return to your hotel and have breakfast. In the afternoon you will head to Sarnath for an excursion. Sarnath is a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists. It is the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha taught his Dharma (faith) and is also an important centre for the arts. You will also visit the Sarnath Museum.

You will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 13 Varanasi - Delhi

After breakfast, you will have some free time to relax or explore the city on your own. You will then catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, you will ne meet by your Kamalan representative who will assist you to the hotel for wash and change before you board your flight flight back home.

Day 03 Delhi - Agra ( 210 Kms - 4 Hrs )

After breakfast you will head towards Agra; the city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture.

After check-in your hotel and luch you will visit the Red Fort of Agra, This is a 16th century Mughal fortress built of red sandstone and comprises of many fairy tale palaces.

Day 04 Agra - Jaipur ( 240 Kms - 4 Hrs 30 ) (

Early morning you will visit the Taj Mahal.

Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.

Day 10 Udaipur - Mumbai - Goa

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa. Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

Afterwards, you will visit the Church of St Francis of Assisi. This church, originally built around 1551, by a group of Franciscan friars, was later demolished. The present church was built in 1661. After the Portuguese closed the convent in 1835, it fell into a state of disrepair. In 1964, the Archaeological Survey of India resurrected the church, and it now also houses a museum.

You will also get a chance to visit Fort Aguada, built in 1612 by the Portuguese. You will also get a chance to explore some of old Portuguese houses in the area. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 11 & 12 Goa

For the next two days you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.

Day 13 Goa - Delhi

After breakfast, you will have some free time to relax at the hotel or at the beach. After an early lunch, you will catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport. Later in the evening, you will head to the international airport to catch your return flight.
