Day 01 Delhi
On arrival, your Kamalan representative will meet you at the airport, and accompany you to your hotel to help you with the check–in formalities. You will spend the night here.
Day 02 Delhi - Guwahati
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Guwahati. Your Kamalan representative will meet you and help you check into your hotel. After lunch, you will take a cruise on the Brahmaputra River up to the Umananda Temple.
The temple was originally constructed in 1694 under the patronage of King Gadadhar Singh of the Ahom dynasty. After suffering damage during an earthquake in 1897, a rich local merchant had it refurbished.
In the evening you will visit the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalashetra. This is an arts and culture complex that displays local arts and crafts as well has theatre workshops, seminars and literature festivals.
You will then return to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 03 Guwahati – Shillong ( 105 Kms - 3 Hrs )
After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Kamakhya Temple. Constructed in 1565, this temple has a beehive structure in the medieval style. It contains interesting sculpted panels with religious themes.
Next you will visit Sualkuchi, also known as the ‘silk village’. The village is famous for its silk weaving industry and it produces some of the best qualities of Muga, Pat and Eri silk.
Afterwards, you will head to Hajo. Hajo has great religious significance since it has shrines of three major religions- Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism. It is also known for its bell metal crafts.
Later, you will travel to Shillong. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch. You will have the evening to relax and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 04 Shillong – Cherrapunjee - Shillong
After breakfast this morning, you will take a day trip to Cherrapunjee. The town of Cherrapunjee is the wettest place on earth. It has perennial rainfall (about 450 inches annually) along with an acute shortage of potable water! The local Khasi people have a matrilineal culture where husbands go and live with the wives after marriage. Children take on the mother’s surname.
Cherrapunjee is a place of immense natural beauty. Over hundreds of years, the Khasi people have created bridges using the living roots of the Indian rubber tree to create bridges to help them cross rivers and streams.
After lunch in unique town, you return to your hotel in Shillong where you will also spend the night.
Day 05 Shillong
After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for a visit to the museum at the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures (DBCIC). This seven-floor museum houses several galleries that include prehistoric artifacts, weaponry, costumes and ornaments. It is a wonderful experience to learn about the culture of people of the area by exploring the museum.
Next you will explore the Butterfly Museum, which shows some of the rare and exotic species of butterflies and moths, and learn about their habitat and life cycle.
Afterwards you will visit the Shillong Golf Course. This is the largest and wettest golf course in Asia. This is a naturally laid out course that is often called the St. Andrew’s of the East.
You will also explore the area of Ward’s Lake. This artificial lake is about a century old is a popular spot for taking walks and boating. The picturesque surroundings attract tourists and locals, many of whom can be seen feeding the fish in the lake.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you have the option to visit the local market of have the evening free to relax at leisure.
You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 06 Shillong – Tezpur ( 220 Kms - 7 Hrs )
This morning, after breakfast, you will leave for Tezpur. You will have lunch en route, and check into your hotel on arrival. You will have the evening free to relax and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 07 Tezpur - Kaziranga ( 80 Kms - 2 Hrs )
This morning you will have breakfast and have the rest of the morning to relax. After lunch, you will head to Kaziranga. On arrival, you will check in and spend the night here.
Day 08 Kaziranga
This morning you will head for an elephant safari in the central range of the park. This will give you an opportunity to observe the wildlife at close quarters. You will then return to your hotel for breakfast. After this, you will leave for a jeep safari in the westerns range of the park.
Safaris in the Kaziranga National Park will allow you to see the one-horned Indian rhinoceros. The swamps and elephant grass make this the perfect home for the Indian rhino, Indian elephant, Indian bison and swamp deer as well as variety of birds.
After lunch at the hotel, you will continue you jeep safari. You will have the evening free to relax and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 09 Kaziranga – Sivasagar – Dibrugarh ( 220 Kms - 5 Hrs )
This morning, you will have breakfast and head to Dibrugarh. Enroute, you will stop at Sivasagar and visit the Ahom monuments and temples. The Ahoms ruled Assam for almost 600 years until the arrival of the British. A cluster of structures built by the Ahoms still survive and include a palace, temples, tanks and amphitheatre
You will have lunch at Sivasagar before continuing your journey to Dibrugarh. On arrival, you will check into your hotel. You will have the evening free to relax and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 10 Dibrugarh
Early this morning, you will head to the Jokai Reserve Forest. This is a small forest full of interesting birdlife. The forest has a meandering stream that adds to its charm.
After breakfast, you will take tour around a tea estate. This will give you a glimpse into the luscious greenery and serenity of tea estates.
Later you will head to the riverfront for a boat cruise on the might Brahmaputra River. The cruise will take you up to a river island in the midst of the river. En route you will see flocks of migratory birds and perhaps even the elusive Gangetic River Dolphin.
You will have lunch at the island before returning to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 11 Dibrugarh – Wakro ( 190 Kms - 4 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will head to Wakro. En route, you will visit the village of Empong to see the Khampti tribes. The Khampti’s are thought to be the descendants of the Tai Ahoms who migrated from Thailand in the early 13th century. You will also visit the Buddhist Gompa here, which is the largest of the kind in the region.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the evening free before turning in for the night.
Day 12 Wakro
After breakfast, you will visit the local Mishmi tribal villages including Kanjan, Thomba ad Pukhuri. You will learn about the Mishmis, a tribe of nature worshippers is one of the Mongoloid tribes of Indo-Burmese origins. The tribals have a unique style and language.
You will also visit Parasuramkund. Considered a holy pilgrimage site for Hindus, thousands of pilgrims come here every year to take a dip in the Lohit River especially in the month of January.
You will return to your hotel for lunch. You will have the evening free to relax before turning in for the night.
Day 13 Wakro – Dibrugarh ( 190 Kms - 4 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will travel to Dibrugarh. On arrival, you will check into your hotel. After lunch, you will visit the local market and temple. You will also visit a weaving center. Weaving is a common household activity in the region and a visit to the centre will show you how local woven patterns and articles are made.
You will have the evening free to relax and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 14 Dibrugarh - Delhi
This morning you will have breakfast and have some time at leisure. You will then head to the airport to catch the flight to Delhi. Your Kamalan representative will meet you on arrival and help you check into your hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 15 Delhi
This morning you will have breakfast and then leave to visit Delhi. The city of Delhi is located on the banks of the river Yamuna. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BCE. Since Mughal times through to most of the British Raj, the city has been the political capital of the country. Today it continues to be the capital of the nation as a bustling metropolitan city that proudly carries images of its glorious past.
You may choose to start your day with a pigeon flying experience.
First you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.
You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!
You will also get a chance to see the government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.
The next stop is Humayun’s tomb. Commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, it was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent. The Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale and this UNESCO world heritage site represented a huge leap for Mughal architecture.
After lunch you will visit to the Qutab Minar. This is the tallest brick minaret in the world, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. His successors continued to enhance the structure, with the final storey added in 1386.
You will then return to your hotel to wash and change before heading to the airport. Your Kamalan representative will assist you in boarding your flight home.
EXTENSION GOA
Day 16 Delhi - Goa
<After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Goa.Located on the western coast of India, Goa is the smallest India state. Known for its fantastic beaches and historical churches, Goa still exhibits its history as a Portuguese colony.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel, after lunch you will visit the Church of St Francis Xavier. Goans are deeply devoted to St Francis Xavier, and though the church has only one altar, this church offers visitors simple sanctity.
You will also get a chance to visit Fort Aguada, built in 1612 by the Portuguese. You will also get a chance to explore some of old Portuguese houses in the area.
Day 17 & 18 Goa
You will have 2 days to relax on the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 19 Goa - Delhi
After breakfast, you can spend some time at the beach.
Post lunch you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. You will be met by your Kamalan representative on your arrival. You will have the chance to wash and change before catching your flight back home.
EXTENSION SHIMLA
Day 16 Delhi - Shimla
After breakfast at the hotel, you will fly to Shimla, located in the northwest Himalayas. The British, who made Shimla their summer capital, dubbed it ‘Queen of the Hills’.
On arrival, you will check in to you hotel where you will have some time to relax. Your hotel, situated at 8250 feet, will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. You may also enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi and heated pool. You can take plenty of walks in the trails nearby that allow you to enjoy the fragrant pine forests.
You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 17 Shimla
After breakfast, you explore the hill station of Shimla.
You will also visit Christ Church, the second oldest church in the country with beautiful stained glass windows.
Next you will visit the nearby Jakhu Hill. Situated at 8,000 feet, this peak allows beautiful views of the town and the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located at the top of the hill and is also home to hundreds of monkeys all eager to be fed!
Kufri, located 13 kms away from Shimla has a small Himayalan Zoo as and has a popular ski track.
After lunch, you can take a walk along the Mall Road, which is the main shopping street with plenty of shops, restaurant and bars. People usually take their time strolling down Mall Road, stopping to chat and meet up with their friends.
The scenic beauty of Shimla and the surrounding areas allow plenty of opportunities for mountain bicycling, horse riding and river rafting. You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 18 Shimla - Delhi
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. You will be met by your Kamalan representative on your arrival. You will have the chance to wash and change before catching your flight back home.
EXTENSION ANANDA
Day 15 Delhi - Haridwar Or Dheradun - Ananda
Today you can either travel by train to Haridwar or by flight to Dehradun to make your way to Ananda in the Himalayas. This beautiful spa hotel is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Peaceful and tranquil, this is the perfect location to relax, detox and unwind. The spa hotel offers yoga, meditation and ayurvedic remedies for your mind and body.
After checking in, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing at the hotel.
Day 16 Ananda

Day 19 Delhi
After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore Old Delhi. First you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Next you will visit Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where the Mahatma was cremated in 1948. It consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame that burns at one end. A visit to Rajghat is an innately moving experience.
You will also get a chance to see the government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.

EXTENSION AMRITSAR
Day 15 Delhi - Amritsar
After breakfast, you will head to the station to board your train to Amritsar. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch. Then you will head to explore the city of Amritsar. Situated in the northwestern region of India, Amritsar is close to India’s border with Pakistan. The city is well known for the Golden Temple and its warm and hospitable people.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have lunch before exploring the city. You will start with a visit to the Golden Temple. This is the most significant temple for the Sikh community. The ‘langar’ or community kitchen serves free meals all year round to roughly 40,000 visitors a day. It is truly a remarkable experience to visit this place of worship.
After this, you will visit the Jallianwala Bagh. This small park was the site of a massacre in 1919 spearheaded by a British general. This event caused general unrest and agitations and was one of the precursors to India’s struggle for freedom.
Next you will visit the Durgiana temple. Dedicated to the Goddess Durga, this temple is based on the architecture of the Golden Temple. You will then visit Rambagh, the palace and gardens of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The summer palace has now been converted into a museum holding weapons and portraits.
You will return to your hotel to spend the night

Day 15 Delhi - Varanasi
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Varanasi. The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins. It is also considered a holy city for Buddhists, believed to have been designated a pilgrimage site by Gautama Buddha himself. A city of temples, art, literature and education, the atmosphere in Varanasi is completely unique.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel.
In the evening, you will witness the Aarti ceremony at the ghats. Every evening, this prayer ceremony is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. Ritual lamps are lit, signifying the light of wisdom, offering pilgrims the chance to purify themselves. This deeply touching experience is truly a sight to behold.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night
Day 16 Varanasi
Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores.
You will also discover the narrow lanes of Varanasi. These old serpentine lines will allow you to experience the life of the local people, which is almost reminiscent of a bygone era.
After lunch in the city, you head to Sarnath for an excursion. Sarnath is a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists. It is the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha taught his Dharma (faith) and is also an important centre for the arts.
You will then return to the hotel to relax and spend the night.
Day 17 Varanasi - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, you can relax or explore the city on your own. You will then head to the airport to board your flight back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you will check into your hotel, have some free time to explore the city and spend the night.
Day 18 Delhi
After breakfast, you will explore the city of Delhi. You will begin with a visit to the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers.

Next you will visit the Red Fort for outside. Also constructed under the emperor Shah Jahan, this fort also served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. The British later used it as a military camp. It continues to be significant even today, as every Independence Day, the Prime Minister raises the flag here.
Next you will see India Gate, one of the largest war memorials in India. Designed by Edward Lutyens, it commemorates the thousands of soldiers that lost their lives during the First World War. This monument is an important landmark in Delhi, with many important roads leading off the Gate. In the evenings, India Gate is lit up and you will find many families enjoying their free time nearby.

EXTENSION JAIPUR & AGRA
Day 16 Delhi – Jaipur ( 240 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will head towards Jaipur. Also called the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the city of royalty. Filled with palaces and forts, Jaipur is the perfect place for visitors to get a glimpse into Rajasthan and its culture.
Once you have checked into your hotel and had lunch, you will leave to visit the Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a popular landmark in Jaipur. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Made of pink sand stone, the façade is almost pyramid shaped and adorned with latticework. You will then visit the local bazaars of the area and have some free time before heading back to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 17 Jaipur
After breakfast, you will explore the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur. You will visit the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant!
Next you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.
After lunch in the city, you will then get to explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730.
To enjoy the local flavor of the area, you will experience a rickshaw ride through the local bazaars. You will then return to your hotel, where you will have your evening free before you turn in for the night.
Day 18 Jaipur – Agra ( 240 Kms - 5 Hrs )
After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture.
On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. After lunch, you will visit Itimad Ud Daulah. This is a mausoleum commissioned by the Mughal Empress Nur jehan for her father. It is believed to be the blue print of the Taj Mahal and is said to resemble a jewel in a marble box.
You will then head back to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 19 Agra – Delhi ( 204 Kms - 5 Hrs )
Early this morning you see the magnificent Taj Mahal.Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.
You will return to your hotel for breakfast. Next you will visit the Agra Fort. This is a 16th century Mughal fortress built of red sandstone and comprises of many fairy tale palaces.
After lunch, you will have some free time to explore the city at leisure. After dinner, you leave for the airport to board your return flight.
EXTENSION KOLKATA, BHUBANESHWAR & PURI
Day 14 Dibrugarh - Kolkata
After breakfast, you will head to the airport to board your flight to Kolkata. On arrival, you will be met by your Kamalan representative you will help you check into your hotel.
After lunch, you will visit the Indian Museum. The Indian Museum is one of the oldest in Asia and contains one of the largest repositories of museum objects in India.
You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 15 Kolkata - Bhubaneshwar
After breakfast, you will visit the Victoria Memorial. Built to commemorate the British Raj in India, this sprawling Hall is a fine example of British architecture in India. Today it serves as a museum with a collection of memorabilia.
Next you will visit the Kali Mandir. This temple, dedicated to the Goddess Kali, attracts thousands of pilgrims every year.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will head to the Coffee House. This is a famous landmark for locals, and has served many famous artists and literary figures.
The city of Kolkota is home to many colonial buildings, a throw back to the days of the British Raj. The buildings of this period have been preserved and are now deemed as ‘heritage structures’.
In the evening will visit Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity Centre. Mother Teresa left a long and profound legacy of charity and caring – having laid the foundation for many orphanages and convalescent homes.
After dinner, you will head to the railway station to catch the train to Bhubaneshwar.
Day 16 Bhubaneshwar
On arrival, your Kamalan representative will help you check into your hotel. After breakfast, you will have some free time to relax.
After lunch you will visit the temples of Bhubaneshwar. The city is known as the ‘land of a thousand temples’. Most of these were built before the 10th century.
Next you will visit the famous Jain caves of Bhubaneshwar. The coarse sandstone caves are a throwback to the austere lives of the Jain monks who made these caves their home.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night
Day 17 Bhubaneshwar – Konark - Puri ( 65 Kms - 1 Hrs 30 )
This morning, you leave for Puri after breakfast. En route you will visit the Konark temple. The Sun temple at Konark is magnificent example of Orissan architecture. It was built in the 13th century in the shape of a chariot carrying the Sun God.
On arrival in Puri, you will check into your hotel and have lunch. Next you will visit the Jagannath temple. This magnificent temple was constructed in the 12th century. It is most famous for its annual chariot festival during which the main temple deities are hauled on decorated chariots.
Next you can take a walk along the Puri beach. The beaches of Puri are fine sand beaches, famous for sand sculptures made by world-renowned artists and spectacular sunsets.
You will then return to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 18 Puri
After breakfast, you will spend the day visiting Chilika Lake. The Chilika Lake is the largest brackish water lake in Asia is home to many migratory birds and endangered species of plants and animals. You will then return to your hotel for lunch. You will have the evening to relax and will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 19 Puri – Bhubaneshwar - Kolkata ( 65 Kms - 2 Hrs )
This morning you will drive to Bhubaneshwar to catch your flight to Kolkata. After breakfast, you will have some free time to explore the city on your own. You will have dinner before heading to the airport to catch your return flight.
