Day 01 Mumbai

On arrival, your Kamalan representative will pick you up, accompany you to your hotel and help you check in.

Day 02 Mumbai

This morning, you will have breakfast, and then visit the Elephanta Caves. This is a complex of Hindu caves with beautiful high reliefs and is a world heritage site. After lunch, you will visit the Prince of Wales Museum, which was founded in 1922 by prominent citizens of Mumbai. Divided primarily into 3 sections – art, archaeology and natural history, it houses more than 50,000 artifacts.

You will then have the evening to explore south Mumbai and spend time at the Gateway of India. This monument, located on the waterfront in South Mumbai, was erected to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The monument was completed in 1924. The monument was meant to be the first sight for all visitors coming to Bombay by boat. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 03 Mumbai - Goa

After breakfast, you will head to the airport and board the flight to Goa. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.

Later, you will visit Church of St Francis of Assisi. This church, originally built around 1551, by a group of Franciscan friars, was later demolished. The present church was built in 1661. After the Portuguese closed the convent in 1835, it fell into a state of disrepair. In 1964, the Archaeological Survey of India resurrected the church, and it now also houses a museum.

Next you will visit the Cathedral of Bom Jesus. This Basilica has long attracted Catholics from all over the world as it houses the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa. His body is embalmed in glass coffin inside a silver coffin.

After visiting the churches, you will walk through the old Portuguese colonies.

Day 04 Goa

Today, you can explore the magnificent beaches of Goa. The many fine sand beaches in Goa have something to offer everyone. Whether it is quiet relaxation, busy flea markets, bars and parties or local cuisine, Goa’s beaches have it all.

Day 05 till Day 11 Goa - Swaswara ( 160 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 )

Today, you will head to Swaswara. This idyllic retreat lies in the state of Karnataka, on 26 acres of rolling hills. You will spend the next week enjoying the variety of therapies on offer here. You will learn about yoga and meditation, and learn how to respond to the needs of your body and mind. You will also enjoy the benefits of Ayurveda and its traditional healing therapies.

The cuisine at SwaSwara features the freshest fruits, vegetable and seafood and is created around your treatments at the retreat.

Day 12 Swaswara - Goa - Mumbai

After breakfast, you will head to Goa and board your flight to Mumbai. Here you will have the opportunity to wash and change. After dinner, you Kamalan representative will assist you to board your flight home.

Extension 1

Day 13 Mumbai/Aurangabad

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to board your flight to Aurungabad. On arrival, you will check in and have lunch. Then you will leave to visit the famous Ellora caves, approximately 30kms away from the city.

Excavations at the Ellora caves have revealed Hindu, Buddhist and Jain temples and monasteries. The caves at Ellora have been designated a World Heritage site and the finest examples of Indian rock cut architecture.

From here you will visit the Bibi ka Maqbara. This mausoleum was constructed in the 17th century under the patronage of Prince Azam Shah, the son of Emperor Aurungzeb as a tribute to his mother. Since this monument has long been compared to the Taj Mahal, its beauty has often been overlooked.

Day 14 Aurangabad - Ajanta -Aurangabad

After breakfast, you will visit the Ajanta caves, where you will also enjoy lunch. Another World Heritage Site, these ancient caves contain spectacular Buddhist paintings and sculptures dating back to the 2nd century BCE.

On the way back to Aurungabad, you will also have the opportunity to visit the holy shrine of the Deccan Muslims, where the Mughal Emperor Aurungzeb is believed to be buried.

You will then return to your hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 15 Aurrangabad - Mumbai

After breakfast, you will head back to the airport and board your flight to Mumbai. Here you will have the opportunity to wash and change before dinner. Afterwards your Kamalan representative will assist you to board your flight home.

EXTENTION NASHIK

Day 13 Mumbai - Nashik ( 210 Kms - 5 Hrs )

This morning, you will leave for Nashik after breakfast. Once you check in to your hotel, you will have lunch at the Sula Vineyard.

Rajeev Samant started this young vineyard in the late 90’s, after quitting his job in the Silicon Valley. Since then, Sula wines have grown in popularity and considered to be India’s finest wines. The vineyards now cover approximately 1500 acres of plantations.

After exploring the vineyards in the afternoon, you will visit the city if Pune, before returning to spend the night at beautiful rooms at the Sula Vineyards.

Day 14 Nashik

You will spend the whole day relaxing at the beautiful Sula Vineyards.

Day 15 Nashik - Mumbai ( 210 Kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will head back to Mumbai. Here you will have the opportunity to wash and change before dinner. Afterwards, your Kamalan representative will help you board your flight home.
