Day 01 Mumbai

On arrival you will be met by a representative of Kamalan Travels at the airport who will accompany you to the hotel and will assist with check-in formalities. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 02 Mumbai - Manglore - Neelashwar

After breakfast, you will visit the the Prince of Wales Museum. The museum was founded in 1922 by prominent citizens of Mumbai. Divided primarily into 3 sections – art, archaeology and natural history, it houses more than 50,000 artifacts. Afterwards, you will explore South Mumbai and visit the Gateway of India.

This monument, located on the waterfront in South Mumbai, was erected to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The monument was completed in 1924. The monument was meant to be the first sight for all visitors coming to Bombay by boat.

After lunch, you will head to the airport to board your flight to Mangalore. From here you will travel to the Neeleshwar Hermitage. On arrival, you will check in to the resort and relax before turning in for the night.

Day 03 till Day 06 Neelashwar

For the next four days you will enjoy your retreat on the Malabar coast, fringed by coconut plantations and set on twelve landscaped acres with views of the sea. Here you will enjoy a range of Ayurvedic treatments to help you heal your mind and body. You can also avail of the many spa treatments available to rejuvenate you.

Day 07 Neelashwar - Manglore - Mumbai

After a leisurely breakfast, you will leave for the Mangalore airport and board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to wash and change. After dinner, your Kamalan representative will accompany you to help you board your flight home.

EXTENSION NASIK
Day 08 Mumbai – Nashik ( 185 Kms - 5 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Nashik. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel. In the evening, you will visit Ramkund.

Ramkund is an important spot for pilgrims as it is believed that Lord Ram bathed here while in exile. It is a lively place with markets nearby. You will also have the opportunity to visit some temples in Nashik. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 09 Nashik

After breakfast, you will visit the Sula Vineyards. Rajeev Samant started this young vineyard in the late 90’s, after quitting his job in the Silicon Valley. Since then, Sula wines have grown in popularity and considered to be India’s finest wines. The vineyards now cover approximately 1500 acres of plantations.

You will have the day to tour the vineyards and visit the picturesque Tasting Rooms at the vineyard that has panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The vineyards also have a beautifully landscaped amphitheatre that hosts a variety of events. The vineyard also has a charming restaurant ‘Little Italy’ that’s offers visitors a unique dining experience.

You will have the evening at leisure and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 10 Nashik – Mumbai

After breakfast, you will catch a train back to Mumbai. After lunch in the city, you will have some time to explore Mumbai on your own. You will have the opportunity to wash and change before heading to the airport for your return flight.

EXTENSION JAIPUR &AGRA
Day 08 Mumbai/Jaipur

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to board a flight to Jaipur. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Afterwards, you will explore the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory dating back to around 1730. You will also take a rickshaw ride through the local bazaars.

Day 09 Jaipur

This morning, you will explore the Pink city of Jaipur. You will begin with a visit of the Amber Fort. Bordering the Maota Lake, this beautiful citadel merges both Hindu and Mughal style of architecture. The greatest way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on an elephant! Next you will visit the City Palace. The City Palace is in fact a palace complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Many of the rooms have been turned into museums and galleries allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of Rathasthan’s regal past.

You will have lunch in the city and then have time to do some shopping in the local markets. You will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 10 Jaipur - Agra ( 250 Kms - 6 Hrs )

After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. The city of Agra is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi. The city flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture.

En route you will visit Fatehpur Sikri followed by lunch. Built by the emperor Akbar about 35 kms from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is home to many historical buildings. Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters, however, he had to abandon it due to shortage of water. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site.

On arrival in Agra, you will check in to your hotel. In the evening you will visit the Agra Fort. This is a 16th century Mughal fortress built of red sandstone and comprises of many fairy tale palaces.

Day 11 Agra - Delhi (2 00 Kms - 5 Hrs)

Early this morning, you will visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this gem of a monument defies description. The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum, commissioned by Enperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this marble wonder began in 1632 and was completed around 1653. Thousands of laborers were employed to construct the monument, that is replete with decorate inlays, carvings and calligraphy. To this very day, the Taj is considered an architectural marvel.

You will return to the hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, you will leave for Delhi. On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 12 Delhi

After breakfast, you will visit the Jama Masjid. The Jama Masjid is the largest and perhaps the best-known mosques in India. Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, and completed in 1656, the courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. You will then take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Chandni Chowk is the busiest market in Old Delhi. Noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian, it is famous for its several restaurants and confectioners. Needless to say, this is a rickshaw ride you will never forget!

Next you will head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where the Mahatma was cremated in 1948. It consists of a black marble platform with an eternal flame that burns at one end. A visit to Rajghat is an innately moving experience.

You will also get a chance to see the government buildings in Delhi. The government buildings in Delhi are an ode to British Colonial architecture, spearheaded by the architect Edward Lutyens.

After dinner, your Kamalan representative will accompany you to the airport and help you board your flight home.

Extension AURANGABAD
Day 08 Mumbai - Aurangabad

After breakfast, you will head to the airport to board your flight to Aurungabad. On arrival, you will check in and have lunch. Then you will leave to visit the famous Ellora caves, approximately 30kms away from the city.

Excavations at the Ellora caves have revealed Hindu, Buddhist and Jain temples and monasteries. The caves at Ellora have been designated a World Heritage site and the finest examples of Indian rock cut architecture.

From here you will visit the Bibi ka Maqbara. This mausoleum was constructed in the 17th century under the patronage of Prince Azam Shah, the son of Emperor Aurungzeb as a tribute to his mother. Since this monument has long been compared to the Taj Mahal, its beauty has often been overlooked.

Day 09 Aurangabad - Ajanta - Aurangabad

After breakfast, you will visit the Ajanta caves, where you will also enjoy lunch. Another World Heritage Site, these ancient caves contain spectacular Buddhist paintings and sculptures dating back to the 2nd century BCE.

On the way back to Aurungabad, you will also have the opportunity to visit the holy shrine of the Deccan Muslims, where the Mughal Emperor Aurungzeb is believed to be buried.

You will then return to your hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 10 Aurrangabad - Mumbai

After breakfast, you will head back to the airport and board your flight to Mumbai.

On arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch. Later, you will have dinner and head to the airport. Your Kamalan representative will help you board your flight back home.
